Brady fans r so sensitive to making any criticism of Brady. I'm talking about physical tools, not accomplishments. If u were holding a draft, forget histories. Just a draft and they were both in it. Every owner, scout, and GM, would take Rodgers. But it's not personal. Patriot fans make it personal. But I like Brady's leadership qualities over Rodgers. Elway is more physically gifted them Joe Montana, but like Brady, rings triumph physical tools.

If we are talking about talent and ability then there are many qbs better than Brady. But Brady plays the position the best. Ex. Since Brady knows he can't scramble as well as other qbs he puts more emphasis on check downs, timing, pocket mobility, hot routes, throwing the ball away, etc. That 5 or 10 yd plus that another qb can get with his legs Brady gets that same result with knowing his protection, being mobile in the pocket and checking down to that slot or rb who can get those yds better than he could. The results are the same; forward progress, 1st down, touchdown or If all else fails and Brady throws it away he'll live to see another play. Brady does these things better than any qb in the game. Execution is the name of the game. There are many wide revivers in the history of the NFL that are faster, quicker, and stronger than Jerry Rice but none of them executed the position at the level he did. That simple

Similar to how even NFL quarterbacks say Dan Marino was the best passer of all time, but he lacked in other areas and wasn't able to use that ability to achieve as much as he could have if he had the mind of Tom Brady. Imagine Tom with Dan Marino's passing and Michael Vick's mobility; he would literally be a human cheat code.

As a Pats fan, Tom Brady is GREATEST Player of all time. Brady does more with less. Other than always injured Gronk, Brady’s best receiver is Chris Hogan: a relative NFL scrub before being with the Pats. They don’t have a D. What people don't understand about Brady's physical traits is what they can't see without a trained film-watching eye. His release time getting the ball of out his hands and his ability to scan a football field for the best receiving option is ridiculously fast and how he prevents himself from getting hit, sacked, and fumbling. His footwork and pocket awareness is probably some of the most impressive in NFL history. His accuracy is amazing, he can't throw the farthest (although he still has a great deep ball) and he isn't as accurate as say, Drew Brees, but he places the ball in the right spot so consistent that there's a reason he has one of the best TD-INT ratios despite playing for so long. It's also why when you go back and watch some of his 4th quarter comeback drives, you actually rarely see big plays, Brady consistently moves the chains with short-intermediate passes because he hits his receivers so accurately. Everyone knows how he's so good mentally, whether it be decision making or his leadership, but it takes someone who really knows football to understand just how good Brady is physically too.
@MichaelSwg6 жыл бұрын
As a follow up, even though we all know for a fact that Brady is more accomplished you actually can't even argue that Rodgers is undeniably more talented than Brady at QB. Rodgers might have more overall better physical attributes, but what Rodgers doesn't have over Brady is a lot of the mental aspects of the game which is what is important to what makes a QB great. People look at the Brady vs. Rodgers debate the same way they would look at a RB vs. RB or Dline vs. Dline debate in the sense that they compare the physicality of the each player like who's bigger, who's faster, who can run/tackle/throw better, but they overlook the mental aspects of what separates these players at the highest level.
@blackurustrikes23286 жыл бұрын
Greg is making the classic mistake of assuming the sum of Aaron's individual parts are greater than the whole of Tom. Just because you can do a broader variety of things does NOT mean that you are an overall better player. Some people - like Brady - can often get more done with fewer skills because they can better optimize those fewer skills AND because they have fewer talents they may be better and more likely to make the most of the talents and resources of others.
@thegoodtomking28046 жыл бұрын
Except Brady doesn't get more done than Rodgers does in the first place. #1 QB rating of all time = Rodgers #1 TD:INT ratio of all time = Rodgers #1 fastest to 300 TDs of all time = Rodgers #1 lowest interception percentage of all time = Rodgers Better in the regular season = Rodgers Better in the playoffs = Rodgers Aaron Rodgers is the better overall QB. Oh, and he can run too.
@blackurustrikes23286 жыл бұрын
Jebediah Springfield - Again, is the sum of all of the Aaron Rogers stats you cite greater the whole result of Tom Brady? What those stats you cite cannot say is whether you're making the RIGHT decisions at the most IMPORTANT times. Nor does any of those stats measure how your play and personality and presence impact others players, during games, in practice, etc. Is Rogers statistically a better player than his predecessor Bret Farve? Maybe. But I would wager Bret had higher regard amongst his teammates and opponents than Aaron.
@thegoodtomking28046 жыл бұрын
I find it funny how many people who hate on Rodgers don't even know how to spell his name correctly. If they're not even paying attention to how to spell his name, then of course they're not paying enough attention to his game. It's also funny how these same people act like Brady somehow wills and inspires his teams to wins when the evidence is contrary to that as well. In fact ever since Belichick took over and rebuilt the Patriots, they've gone 14-6 when forced to be without Brady. That's a .700, playoff caliber record with Brady missing. Even when Brady isn't there they just keep on winning. In fact, no great QB of the modern age has proved to mean less to his team in winning games than Tom Brady has. Now let's take a look at what happens to the Packers when forced to be without Rodgers. They basically turn into the Browns, going 5-14-1, a .250 record. So who has proved to be more important in inspiring and willing his team to win? Aaron Rodgers, hands down.
@blackurustrikes23286 жыл бұрын
Jebediah Springfield - I find it funny that you think spelling is a major concern in the KZbin comment section. And how many games, play off games did Bellicheck (sue me for the mispelling) win PRIOR to Brady? He was on his way to being FIRED by New England before Brady took over. Also, how would Bellicheck been able to staff that team if Brady wasn't taking deep pay cuts? Brady's willingness to go along with the program has allowed Bellicheck to Lord over the Patriots and make that coach appear to be better than he actually is.
@thegoodtomking28046 жыл бұрын
It is when you're talking Hall of Famers and misspelling their names 3 times in a row. Brett Favre and Rodgers should be _easy_ names to spell for football fans who have actually watched them closely. It's on their jersey. You can see it on most plays when they're on the field. It's in the news when you read about them. It's not like how to spell their first and last names is some type of mystery. For educated football fans, it's second nature...not something you misspell 3 times in a row. Even Australian Ruby player and KZbinr Jacob McDonald knew how to spell Favre's name correctly and he's literally brand new to the game. Get with it bud. Not only do you need to figure out how to spell Hall of Famers names correctly, you need to check your coaching history. Bill Belichick had never been a GM and HC with complete control until he was hired by the Patriots. He never got to build a team how he wanted to until he was hired by the Patriots. Then the very first chance he got, he knocked it out of the park. Bill Belichick not only guided the Patriots out of the cap trouble that they were in, he replaced Pro Bowler Drew Bledsoe at QB with an even better one, while building a staunch defense that won them Super Bowls. If you had paid any attention, you'd have also known that Tom Brady has actually counted millions more against the cap than Aaron Rodgers has ever since Rodgers started. Contrary to your claim, Rodgers has cost less for his team than Brady. It's not the cap space that's making the difference bud. QB cap hit doesn't matter when you're Bill Belichick and can build far better teams for less money than virtually any Coach/GM in history. Including recently demoted former Packers GM Ted Thompson.

Well one thing Brady is much better than is keeping the game competitive when he isn't playing with the lead. In games they trailed by any amount at any point in the game: Brady: 109-65 (0.626), including 15-10 (0.600) in the playoffs Rodgers: 48-55 (0.466), including 6-7 (0.462) in the playoffs When trailing at halftime Brady: 36-37 (0.493), including 5-6 (0.455) in the playoffs Rodgers: 15-38 (0.283), including 1-6 (0.143) in the playoffs (When tied at the half Brady is 17-6 (0.739) while Rodgers is 2-7 (0.222)) When trailing to start the 4th quarter Brady: 30-47 (0.390), including 6-7 (0.462) in the playoffs Rodgers: 10-41 (0.196), including 1-5 (0.167) in the playoffs (When tied to start the 4th Brady is 12-2 (0.857) while Rodgers is 4-3 (0.571)) When trailing at any point in the 4th quarter/OT Brady: 42-65 (0.393), including 8-10 (0.444) in the playoffs Rodgers: 12-55 (0.179), including 1-7 (0.125) in the playoffs So Brady keeps his team in most games while Rodgers loses most of the time if he ever falls behind. Looking a little closer at how bad they are losing the games. When they trail by 10+ points at any point in the game: Brady: 31-46 (0.403), including 6-6 (0.500) in the playoffs Rodgers: 8-35 (0.186), including 1-4 (0.200) in the playoffs When they trail by 14+ points: Brady: 10-31 (0.244), including 2-5 (0.286) in the playoffs Rodgers: 6-22 (0.214), including 0-4 in the playoffs When trailing by 20+ points Brady: 4-16 (0.200), including 1-2 (0.333) in the playoffs (We of course know what that 1 game was...) Rodgers: 1-11 (0.083) including 0-3 in the playoffs Now for those 10+ numbers include the bigger deficits too so let’s isolate the non-blowout games: Trailing by 10-13 points at some point in the game Brady: 21-15 (0.583), including 4-1 (0.800) in the playoffs Rodgers: 2-13 (0.133), including 1-0 in the playoffs (hey Rodgers stepped it up in the playoffs!!!!) Brady is better across the board but specifically if you get up 10-13 points, but never more than that, on Brady he still wins over 58% of the time while if you get up 10 on Rodgers you can pretty much check off the win in pen since he only comes back 13% of the time.

Skip has to bring excuses why Brady doesn't have more playoff wins or Super Bowls because he knows he can't argue that Brady is a better thrower of the football. Also hasn't Rodger's proven that he can be clutch? Could Brady throw the amount of game winning hail marrys Rodgers has? No, it has been proven Brady can't. Not only can Rodger's get it there, but get it there accurately so his guys have a chance to catch it AND make sure that only his guy has a chance to catch it. Only having a top ten defense once in his career, and they one the Super Bowl. McCarthy became predictable as a play caller. The Packers organization wasted Rodgers talent. Rodgers has won plenty of games, I'm assuming what you mean are Super Bowls. Yes football is all about winning, but it is a team game. Can't blame those games on Rodgers. Also this is a argument about who's the better QB. Rodgers is way more talented than Brady. His QB ratio and how he plays is way better than Brady has. If Rodgers had the team that Brady has, he would have won all the Superbowl that Brady had won plus the ones Brady lost.

Rodgers is more mobile than Brady and can make other worldly throws, but Tom is more clutch, smarter, and a better leader which is why he makes the people around him much better. Brady played in a tougher era his first 5 seasons where they could actually play defense. Rodgers also got to sit for 3 years instead of one. He was primed to be posting great numbers from day 1 and that's why all the Rodgers fans throw QB rating and TD ratio and treat it like it's gold instead of the actual standard and goal of the game.... To win. Here is Brady from 2007 to now (he didn't play 2008.) Here is Rodgers from 2008 (didn't play 07) to now. Brady threw for 44,519 yards 341 TDs 82 INTs, 65.1 completeion percentage and a record of 125-31 as a starter during that time frame. 15-8 playoff record with 2 superbowl championships. Rodgers in that time frame had 38,502 yards 313 TDs 78 INTs 65.1 completion percentage and 94-48 as a starter. 9-7 playoff record with 1 superbowl. Brady teams score 28.3 per game the highest mark ever. Rodgers is at 27.5, Manning 27.2. In conclusion all the numbers individual or team based favor Brady just won an MVP at 40 years old. Rodgers will be lucky to even make it that long.

His performances against the legion of boom in the 4th quarter was magnificent, his 2nd half against ATL was just ridiculous and by all accounts Brady is a better leader which accounts for something. You can say Rodgers has better numbers all time but Brady was more of a game manager when he came into the league so his numbers won’t stand out as much. You can say Rodgers was never a game manager so that makes him better, but Rodgers wasn’t even playing when got drafted. GB worked with him a lot when he was young to help make him the QB he is now.

Ben Poirier because Shannon appreciates talent. It is clear that both Aaron Rodgers and Lebron James are the most talented players to ever play in their. Sport and their stats show for it. Aaron Rodgers had to wait three years for favre to get out and had two injury filled seasons and has 43000 yards. He did that in he has only been in for 14 years. So Aaron Rodgers has 40000 yards in the rest of his seasons. Rodgers has the best td to int ratio and the best passer rating ever. He also is on pace to pass tom Brady in touchdowns. While Lebron is capable of dropping a triple double every night. He averages 27 7 7 over his career and has only not averaged 25 or more in a season once and that was his rookie year. Lebron made 9 straight finals from 2009-2018. Lebron is 3 and 6 but remember that he dragged two of the worst cavs teams ever to the finals in 2009 and 2018 and his sidekicks Kyrie and love got injured in the playoffs in 2015. In that 2015 series he was so dominant that they were considering giving him the MVP while on the losing team. There is only one finals where Lebron played horrible and that is 2010. Don't know why Lebron gets punished for making more finals than Jordan. After Jordan's first retirement, his team still made the playoffs but when Lebron leaves a team they turn upside down. Look at those cavs teams Lebron left. They went from nba finals to worst in the league. Jordan isn't capable of dropping a triple double every night. Lebron is. Jordan couldn't guard 1-5. Lebron could. That is why Shannon likes Lebron and Rodgers.

OHHH 5 Super Bowls really really that people’s argument Brady should only have 3 because the raider got robbed and the Seahawks where better that game and just made the worst call in Super Bowls history now if u are the best u have to have some athleticism and Brady doesn’t have that he’s good bc he’s teams and bill. Rogers has a better accuracy and more athleticism if bill was coaching Arron Rogers they would go to the Super Bowls every year bc Rogers defense is horrible and is holding him back from Super Bowls

People are comparing Rodgers to Brady, but he has to beat out Brett Favre.
@Cheeto_Thrasher6 жыл бұрын
amkobra Rodgers has already surpassed Brett Favre. They both have one Super Bowl each. But rodgers is more careful with the ball with his Td/int ratio and more mobile and good at throwing on the run. Prime Rodgers is able to do more things than any qb all time even Brady. Brady just has a system his daddy bill belicheck and a great defense every year. The one year Rodgers had a good defense we won the super bowl!

Rodgers has never won a game in which he trailed by more than one point in the fourth quarter to a team with a winning record. He’s 0-35 in those games

Aaron Rodgers is a better athlete than Brady but Brady has done more with less. Rodgers has had better teams and only one Superbowl . Brady is the GOAT

In the 6 years where both Rodgers and Brady played the entire season ('09, '10, '11, '12, '14 and '15), Green Bay gave up an average of 19.82 points per game, New England gave up 19.78 points per game. So that is a differential average of 0.04 points per game for those of you keeping score at home.

Aaron Rodgers is the Carmelo Anthony of the NFL. Rodgers has only that one championship just like Melo only championship from College. They have all the talent but disappear in the playoffs.

and how many rings would Brady have in GB IF he had the exact same circumstances as AR has had....??? answer...."0"... All the talent....???? NO DEFENSE, NO RUNNING GAME, NO TE ...is NOT "talent"....!~

Aaron Rogers is like Manning incredibly talented but more athletic. But when it comes to clutch, playoffs and Super Bowls and leadership. TB12 is the GOAT. Be honest how many great lights out clutch moments WHEN THE WORLD WAS WATCHING has AR had. AR is definitely HOF Talent but so is Lbj but is he better than Jay??? Stop it pls

So you are ADMIITING AR has BETTER QB Skills....??? Why on earth wouldn't you want him as your QB....???? That is Ludacris non-sense...Put BOTH in Cleveland, WHO is going to win more games....??? the one with the BETTER QB skills....the same goes for any team they are playing for..... The stats don't lie... AR has BY FAR, better stats for his first 140 games than TB. You are CLUELESS...
