Greg: 99.9% accuracy, 100% passion Modern "Top" Performers: 100% accuracy, 50% passion The former is far better in my opinion

Thank you so much! I was hesitant to upload it because the control in this piece is simply impossible for me with 100% passion and drama which this piece demands....

@@gregniemczuk I think this piece sounds even better not being 100% accuracy. Because it shows how human, how desperate and how angry you were while playing it. As you said in your scherzo no. 1 analysis, Chopin wanted to punch his keyboard, and seeing this video is exatcly this what I am seeing. Watching your performance is like watching Chopin him self playing. Thank you very much for uploading not only this video, but all the videos you ever uploaded in your channel ❤

@SamtapesGamer thank you so much! I really appreciate this comment. It's true. I had very strong emotions during this concert. Someone from the audience realized it immediately and started recording (that's why we're missing the first few bars ).

So many good ideas in this performance, such as making the minor seconds in the left hand “slip notes,” shortening some measures to give a sense of urgency, captivating middle section-I didn’t like that my childhood teacher assigned me this, I found it repetitive-but your performance is the first time my hair stood on end from start to finish! Now I want to relearn it! (My late teacher was a good teacher, I was a bad student…)

Bravoo 🙌🏻🙌🏻, i may be wrong but of all the scherzos, no 1 seems to be the most difficult to memorize. Wonderful interpretation
@peterchan60822 ай бұрын
Nope. Not really. It is perhaps the most virtuosic, but I actually found it the easiest to memorise. The most difficult to memorise, I think, is Op.54
