Same here. I never got to meet him, but I did get to meet his parents and shake his dad's hand at a 5K they held in his honor after he passed. I remember someone asking his dad if there was a grave they could visit to honor him and speak to him. His dad said they cremated him so there's no grave but to speak to him and honor him all you have to do is close your eyes do it.

I got to get a photo with him at Bodypower, must have been back in 2013, long queue and fast moving - lots of people pushing in, remember him acknowledging it and apologising. Seemed a really down-to-earth decent guy. I was young and didn't seize the opportunity to talk to him, but we make mistakes to learn from them.

Let’s keep his legacy alive guys. If you have children or are an influence on children, show them Greg’s videos. Not only his workouts but his video blogs where he speaks the real truth and gives his honest opinion on so many relatable life subjects. Greg was ahead of his time and people like him don’t come along to often. Thank you to Greg’s family for still keeping the site alive but it’s up to us to keep his legacy going until eternity. “You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough my friends” Greg Plitt.

Be the best person you can be, watch Greg for motivation but don't just rely on his videos to help you through the day. Discipline is key! Hold your self to a high standard and always do your best. Just like Greg has reinforced in his speeches, no matter the task do it to the best of your ability. Don't wait for others to help you (Don't be afraid of asking for help, but try to do it yourself first.... you will surprise yourself) and don't ever give up. If you fail that's ok but do it again and again and again until you compete the task. If you get off track, don't worry, you can start again at whatever you want to do. If you lose the battle of the morning that is ok.... you have the rest of your day. Look after your body and your health, be nice do others but don't let people take advantage of you. Lastly don't forget to give back. If you can look after yourself and you are in a state of "flow" then you can help others, just like Greg. Greg is different from others in the fitness industry and always will be. What makes Greg story so remarkable is that he didn't just lift heavy objects, flex and say how great he is. He is qualified to lead and give advice. . US Army Ranger captain/company commander of 180 people . Certified in Airborne combat, Air assault, Mortar leaders course, Master fitness trainer and weapons expert . Combat lifesaver . All American high school wrestler (3 time Maryland State Champ and #2 in U.S. for 189 pound class) . West Point Skydiving Team (700+ jumps, Pro Rating, D License) . Furniture maker, owned landscaping business, guitar player . Golf Club Champion, hole in one, 4 handicap . Certified scuba diver . Skilled in: horse riding, football, boxing, volleyball, baseball, all water sports, rock climbing, stunts . Over 200 Fitness magazine covers . 8 National Commercials . 50 print, cologne and clothing campaigns. . Currently #1 Fitness Model in World. . 25 romance novel covers . Television appearances . Movie appearances Whenever you seek advice from others do your research and find out what THEY have done. Motivational speaking/content is a business and money making industry. Many of these speakers aren't qualified to give advice. This is what made Greg so special. I myself have been through dark times and could have given up so many times. Whenever i questioned myself or thought about throwing in the towel i watched Greg's videos. It truly is amazing the impact Greg had through his words. I am currently studying computer science at university and i want to start my own business, probably website design. I am of average intelligence and am surrounded by distractions on a daily basis. People i know close to me struggle with addiction, have a terminal illness, physical/mental disabilities and many other sad problems. I chose not to let these distractions hold me back. It's a choice, you can either let these problems consume you or you can take control of your life. I failed all my units last year and i wanted to give up. These "distractions" continued to worsen and my life was a mess. It came down to a choice, do i give up and have regrets later in life or do i hold myself accountable and take control of the situation? Every day i make an effort to learn about my craft, including the days i don't want to. Especially the days i don't want to! Greg has mentioned on numerous occasions to do something today that you will benefit from in the future. I have retaken all the subjects I have failed and have since passed all. In fact i received credits for all the subjects i failed. I truly surprised myself. I work out everyday, eat an assortment of nutritious food and i will have a cheat meal when i want. I study everyday and i break up my study sessions, (personally the pomodoro technique has proven effective for myself). I am currently focused on mobile app/webdesign and look forward to starting my business. Let's continue to keep Greg's legacy alive. Thank you to Greg Plitt's Family and friends for continuing posting content. I am aware some people do not agree with certain videos be taken down etc. Be civil and email Greg's people if you have suggestions. If you use Greg's footage then advertise his website in videos etc so others can also find Greg as well. I personally would like to see Greg in many videos and other avenues so we can get as many people as possible to learn about Greg's life and also listen to Greg's words to get them through those tough times of self doubt and seemingly impossible difficult situations. Work hard and be the best person you can be. Self discipline truly is freedom. Peace.

That was inspirational sir! I myself going through tough times, not because of outside factors but my inner demons. I have watched Greg for many years, i tried to follow his path in my own way and succeeded to some extent but again I let myself lose. I don't blame anyone but myself. I build good habits and all of a sudden I break them and get back to life of losers. Been like this for sometime now. I'm just fed up with this starting over again and losing it all once again.. I read your comment, that was truly inspirational. There are lot of us travelling in the same boat. I'm hopeful this time i won't fail my idol Greg ever again and more importantly I don't fail myself. I have reached this point ,now or never! I wish you best for your future endeavors. All the very best. Thank you!

@@jagadishchilukuri9383 same dude, sometimes we get off the path that we know is right but as greg said it doesn't matter how many times we fall off, it's matter of getting on it again. We have responsibility of showing the world how his words are real and gold in this world of fakes and wannabes. In his name, let's never quit and keep his legacy alive. Every morning, the first person I think of is Greg. His words got me through some tough times and I listen to him talk on my way to the gym. Whether it's pouring rain or biting cold, those things don't bother me as much as the fact that Greg deserved to live a long and happy life but it was unfairly cut so short. It taught me life is unfair. He loved life and you could tell. You can always tell when someone is bs-ing when you meet enough people. But Greg was a genuine guy with so much heart and who lived by what he preached - hard work and sweat. It's strange that though I've never met him, I miss him dearly. I will let others know of his legacy, and one day when I have kids, I'll make sure they know him too. And someday soon, I'd like to start a foundation in his name, one that ensures deserving people who can't afford gym can get access to a gym membership so they too can better themselves every day.
