You cannot tell me the Hammer and the Anvil wouldn't have been an awesome idea for a tag team after Bret, and Brutus left the both of them at pretty much the same time. A lot better than guys like the Bushwhackers or the CANAM Connection.

@@devinsteib3518 What his Dad told him about work around someone else's style & eventually they' come around to your style is a true story, Johnny always wanted to help the younger guys learn & improve their work in the ring if they're willing to shut up & listen, which sadly most of the guys who are in the wrestling schools or just starting to work shows now for some reason aren't willing to listen to the veterans & legends & it's stupid & sad to think that way.

To me, the single biggest thing to hold against him is how he mocked Bobby the Brain Heenan for his cancer when he was diagnosed with it. It's great to see an old-school retired wrestler who isn't broke financially and physically. Also Greg doesn't seem bitter and is still mentally all there

I always like watching these interviews with Mr. Hammer, they carry me back to the 80's laying in the floor watching Wrestling on the 25 inch console TV on TBS the super station with Gordon Solie at 6:05 PM. Man what good memories.

One of the best heels, looking back. I stopped watching around 1994. Watched ECW a little bit, but that was short lived. Watching the old matches and interviews from the guys from my childhood is quite fun.

I've watched several of these podcasts & interviews, & I can tell you Greg is without a doubt my favorite. The things he says are ver pertinent about people & how it works being a wrestler. He's my favorite to listen to. He's about the only one I listen to, generally. Obviously, a great guy.

So nice to see an old school guy doing an interview while he's not wolfing down pizza and beer that he's getting paid in, while also being a complete good guy.

Big fan of Greg’s here! Greg wouldn’t talk bad about anyone. Nobody really has any good things to say about Warrior…..except Greg. He knows life is too short to carry around hatred and grudges against people. It’s a waste of energy. Not only that, you can tell he loves wrestling and is appreciative to have lived it and been so involved in it. He has seen it all. Plus, he loves his fans and that they are still very interested in his insights. You can sum up Greg The Hammer Valentine in 3 words. A good man.

I remember Monsoon saying "it takes the Hammer the first 15 minutes of a match to warm up Jess". Even as a kid I knew what he meant - this guy can work and could easily wrestle an hour if needed..

Nothing is better than seeing an older guy who it just feels like they saved their money, living in complete comfort, who do stuff like this for fun...not because they need the check. It just feels like Greg saved his money.

This guy has a real old school professional wrestler vibe. Like someone who was a legitimate professional wrestler back in the day-just like a professional boxer-that comes from school of real fighters who elect to stage fights. Vs. acting. Hope I’m making sense.
