It’s great to have good friends to fish with. Looks like you guys are having fun. I’m 69 and have bass fished since I was 5. On Saturday I had my lifetime PB on my Berkeley Choppo for approximately 1 and 1/2 seconds! Based on its estimated length it probably weighed 11-1/2 pounds. My mistake after giving it some thought was my rod was just not stiff enough to set the hook properly. I will be replacing the rod ASAP.

That was a monster sunfish. I've caught a few like that when I was super young at a 15-20 acre pond in Indiana, that this church owned, and let us fish at. Since then I've never seen a place that you could consistently catch large gills like that again. (That pond had no fishing pressure besides 3 of us neighborhood kids) Those huge gills fight like a freight train too, especially on a light drop shot rig. Good video man!

When I fished for Louisiana tech..we drove 37 hours to fish the Bassmaster collegiate series on Clear lake. On the final day of the derby I landed a 7.13lb helping us qualify for the national championship. Was a great experience. Hate to see it so low
