Greg, this is just crazy awesome! With just a few points in a three way race. You're maintaining, and doing what you need to do in every tournament this year. And that fish did look big. No point in trying to predict what’s going to bite when- looking back at your PB video you had a similar mindset going into that tourney- just get a limit and worried about the rats. Keep on grinding and make as many casts as possible, fish efficiently and the big ones will come.

On tournament days when they are really hitting a Chatterbait or jig or spinnerbait I always size up my trailers to see if the average fish size goes up. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt but its always worth a shot.

I commented this countless times and will continue until he maybe finally reads it. He should mark the kayak somewhere on the side of the hull by his feet or on the rail with 12" and 14" lines. That makes it easy to just hold the fish there after landing it and not have to pull the board out. Such an easy thing to do, but would be really useful.

Greg, you have always made insightful videos. I'm an avid tournament angler like yourself. I notice the Delta has been a dink fest lately. I've watched you fish the Delta dozens of times and notice that you only focus on the shoreline. Have you considered finding a pocket, deep isolated grass patches, a ledge, a deep grass flat 5ft>? Perhaps, you would fair better on tourney day on the Delta. As you mentioned you caught 50+ dinks in the area, from near shore. That may be your clue. Fish the moment and get out deeper for the bigger bites. Those larger fish go off shore as the sunrises. Perhaps, this is why you are only catching dinks all the time.

All those small fish is the Delta telling Greg that he's fishing spots, rather than the current. The Delta can be misleading for anglers yet to discover the secrets of the tides and its influence on positioning the bigger bass. And yet, given the limitation in mobility, I'm really impressed with Gregs fishing prowess.
