I would agree this applies to animals too. Like if you see a mammal with bad mange or that has been shaved, they look so wrong. I've seen birds like parrots and owls without some or most of their feathers a few times (not sure if they pulled their own feathers out or if it was caused by a skin thing) and it also looks creepy and wrong. Guy standing outside: could be ok. Guy standing outside naked: nope.

idk if there's anything about "weird angles" on dead trees, I think it's more to do with our subconscious brains knowing on some level that the tree is dead or dormant, as in "not alive at this time" I think it messes with our brains to see something's "skeleton", like the bare branches of a tree

And when im watching scary movies at nite...I expect something like this (or worse!) to violently POP it's head up at the window of my room. So I ALWAYS close the window for scary movies. Always. I have that same "friend" behind me in dark rooms and in the shower, except when i close my eyes in the shower its not behind me i imagine itll be standing right in front of me when i open them, also I live in Florida and that's exactly what you would at night in the Everglades. Also heres a way to remember the difference between gators and crocs. If the nose is rounded like C its a gator, if its pointed like an A its a croc. Its the opposite of what you think it would be.

When I was a kid I wasn’t really afraid of creatures in the dark, but now that I’m an adult living in an apartment? Hell yeah I’m scared. My bed creature is a giant spider (and I mean giant, like its head takes up the entire width of my footboard) that just stares at me with its two enormous black eyes in front and the other eyes ringing around the others. I always imagine that it’s approaching from the other end of the bed, and it’s going to bite off my toes with its freaky spider mouth. I am simply terrified some nights
