Back in the day, I used to see a lot of "fake" trailers for forthcoming films. Now, some of these were fan-made, showing what they would like to see in the film. Take for example when _The Avenger_ was announced. I saw a fan-trailer made up of clips from _Iron Man, The X-Men, Daredevil_ and _Spider-Man_ edited together. That was fine, but on occasion you'd see a fake trailer made just for clicks the makers of which would insist was genuine. Recently, I did a bit of a search on KZbin for the comic-con trailer for Marvel's new _Fantastic Four_ film. The first one that looked like it was the trailer and not just a pundit discussing it looked quite convincing at first glance. However, I soon realised that it was AI. They had took still images of Pedro Pascal et al and used AI to give them movement. In my defence, I had seen vids discussing the real trailer and from what I could see the maker of the fake appropriated stuff that was mentioned, specific scenes like Reed in a classroom and quotes from the trailer. It was also done in such a way, quick cuts _like_ a real trailer, that one didn't have time to linger on the images.
