I believe the version of "Midnight Rider" on "Laid Back" is the best one. It makes me feel young when I hear it. So it is especially nice to hear an alternate version from the same period. Like when decades later the "Fillmore Concerts" CD came out with the unreleased songs of "Fillmore East".
