I hear you in the beginning Chuck, but you don’t get credit for burning down a program that you rebuilt. Just because you raised the standard again after the WC miss doesn’t mean you should be viewed favorably after squandering talent/potential that should’ve yielded even better results. He can frankly go kick rocks, screw him, but I respect your grace and perspective.

GGG's biggest successes: 1) He transitioned into a very youthful team from 2018. Which took guts. 2) His results against Mexico. 3) A decent 1st cycle. The Bad: 1) A bad 2nd cycle 2) Narrowly beating Jamaica on a last minute own goal in the Nations League. 3) Losing to T&T after Dest's tempermental outbreak. 4) His terrible away record 5) Not making it out of the group at COPA America.

There are personnel managers (great with people) and then there are tactical managers. Based on GGG record both club and country, we don't see a tactical manager like Mike says he is. At least it didn't translate into the field, which means that maybe he should not have called up the same guys every time. I would much rather have a tactical manager hated (but respected) from the team than a personnel guy who is loved by the team but gets tactics wrong. We will always support a winner, regardless of how prickly he is. I think most US soccer fans are realistic in that we are not EXPECTING a world cup championship, but we also don't see ourselves at a lower level than South Korea, Morocco, or even Croatia who have gone further and have achieved a lot more with less. That is the type of coach we are looking for

His results were mostly poor. He beat a poor Mexican team a few times. Good for him. What else did he do? We barely qualified for the World Cup! Embarrassing.
