Please rename this episode to "how to grow an audience from scratch". You'll get more traffic to this. (the vid deserves it) Cheers

I, honestly, thought that this video was deleted because the title has changed from yesterday. "10 years of marketing advice in 49 min" does not seem like what the video is about. It's more about "Get customers for your startup while being NOBODY" or smth like that vibe. p.s. super insightful episode

I started in tech in the 1980s developing medical imaging applications for the Mac, and I was lucky enough to see Steve Jobs and Guy Kawasaki live at three different WWDCs. Their passion and innovation inspired me greatly, and I see that same spirit reflected in Greg’s work. After stepping away from tech for a while, I’m now back developing my own health apps for iOS and macOS. This channel has reignited my enthusiasm and shown me the incredible opportunities available today. At 66, I hope to keep doing this for a long time. Thank you, Greg, for creating such enlightening content!

I completely agree-low quality being the new high quality is such an interesting concept, and it’s funny how it came up almost at the end of the video. I’ve noticed this trend in other areas too, like graphic design or clothing and fashion, so it’s great to see how it can apply in this context as well. High effort, no doubt about it! I was also wondering, for someone from Latin America, do you think we should focus on speaking in English or Spanish? Most of the content I consume is from other countries, so I’m not entirely sure what makes the most sense.

Greg, you said “low quality, high effort”. I would tweak that to be “low quality, high value”; is what I expected you say. Basically, the quality and effort should be just enough to deliver useful content that serves a specific purpose. This episode did give me an idea to collect and package up techniques like the Dream 100 strategy into a founder toolkit. Make it discoverable using some kind of challenge oriented prompt, e.g. how do i build an audience for my product?

Question: Jonathan said that you can sometimes go to creators and simply offer them cash in exchange for exposure to their audience (his example was Chris Do). Do you recommend offering a specific amount of money right in your first email to them? For example “I have $10k budget - how could I gain exposure to your audience for that price?” Or do you recommend being vague? For example: “I have a solid budget to offer - can we talk about doing a collab?” My thoughts: The first option seems more likely to get a reply, but the second option seems more likely that you could negotiate a better price. What do you think?

One thing that is not so clear to me is the level of knowledge you need to have to go into a community. Say I find an opportunity in a niche, but I do not know much about the topic. Obviously, I can learn. But is that really useful for the community?
@theunscheduledceo10 күн бұрын
It’s for sure more useful if you deeply know the topic

More helpful to have some knowledge. Soak up what you can at first. Ask questions. Then share your experiments even if they are failing. Those types of stories are still helpful to people who are even newer than you.
