Got the Icon Teal colourway from the recent Amazon Black Friday sale at US$74/S$98.99. Its a funky colour, but I could not deny the price haha. Cant wait for it to arrive next Thursday! TY for all your previous vids on it. You are the reason why I got this new EDC pack!

Thanks for your continued supports! While I am not using this as an EDC bag, the Nano 24 would make a great everyday bag. It is well designed, and looks good off the trail.

I signed up for emails on the Gregory site and got a 15% discount on my first order, so that is one way to get this pack at a discount. Thanks for the three helpful reviews.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA thank you so much. I did see in the review that it would barely fit a MBP 16 which is what I have work. Are you still using the bag? Have your thoughts changed since making the video?

@@Digital.Wiindigo I still have this bag and do use it. Though I use it sparingly. It is now my travel bag, and we haven’t done a long trip sense last October. A few long weekends and a camping trip this week. Which was rained I it and had no hiking that was planned. But still have and plan on using it more. I will probably do a bag purge this fall, and this will most likely stay in my lineup.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA thanks for the update. The video was great! I’m looking for a bag to do edc, personal item travel, light hikes/city explore and use for the occasional trip to the office so bit of a unicorn situation.

Any problems with the shoulder straps curling from the chest harness? There are a few reviews on REI saying that it's a problem.
@jeffgrantMEDIA
@jeffgrantMEDIA 8 ай бұрын
I didn't have any "curling." Just a little pulling where the sternum strap attaches to the strap. Nothing I haven't experienced with many other packs. The straps are fairly thin, so I can see some potential curling for someone who may be pretty slender. But I am pretty broad chested and wide in the shoulders. So I have some surface area to help contend with that.

Noted. I appreciate the reply. I'm on the slimmer side (despite my screen name) but I may go ahead and pick this up and try it anyway. Thanks!

@@jubblybits6155 the o my bag I’ve ever had real issues with was the Matador ReFraction day pack. That thing was a dud. Straps riled and pinched. Sat on the body weird and was just very uncomfortable all around.

Hey, I am dad of twins and I am looking for multi purpose backpack. For grocery shopping, as daily bp for my job, for some trips with my kids and sometimes for 2-3 day trip to hotel or one night in the forest. So two last backpacks in my list are Gregory Nano 30 and 24. Sadly I didn't find any such good review of Nano 30. Do you think 24 will be enough big or I should spend some more bucks for that extra 6l of capacity? Thanks in advance. :D
@jeffgrantMEDIA

Solid question! I only have a signal tot, and I found the 24 to be amazing for me. It was great for travel to Florida and a week in Disney. It was a little small for all the stuff we accumulated on the way home. I wish I had 30L of space. But I really liked the 24L at the parks and in Disney Springs. As a hiker, 24L was great for 3 adults and a dog. I think if I added another kid to the mix, I may want/need that extra 6L to carry the extra water, snacks and add on's kids take everywhere with them. So I think you may be better off with the 30L version. The bag is light enough, and is compressible if you are not using all the space in the bag. So you are better off carrying a few extra ounces when you don't need them, than not have them when you need them.

@@Mrbooozle93 I had the 20 prior, but it was just a little too small. But I really liked the form factor and features of that bag. So when I saw the 24 I had to try it. And turns out, it was a great hiker and a phenomenal travel bag.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA the 22 only has one water bottle pocket on the side but comes with a 3L bladder. And I like the front mesh pocket on the 24 more than the bungee system on the 22. I wish my local REI had the 24 in stock.

I also bought that backpack and am a little disappointed. The chest strap is the worst I've ever seen on a backpack. As I have a relatively broad chest, I have to use the full strap and it is still too tight. As a result, the shoulder straps are only on the inside of the body. As you can't even take the chest strap off and I'm bothered by the strap flapping around, I'm thinking of breaking the plastic with a hammer. The back padding isn't great either. You can feel every bulky, hard object immediately. If you're traveling with jackets and snacks, this is certainly a good backpack but less suitable for the supermarket. I prefer to use my Dragon Egg Enlarged from Direct Action.

I did not find the chest strap to be bad at all. I too am pretty broad chested and I had plenty of length for adjustment. I believe the strap is removable. I will have to double check when I get home. But the top of the slide, the piping should stop and give you a bit of space to slide it right off. an easy fix if you do not have enough slack is grab a piece of webbing and some clips and make a little add on leash for length. If you don't have something you can rob from another bag, that parts cab be snagged on amazon or ebay for a few bucks. Secondly, this is not a grocery getter bag. This is a day pack that also works well as a travel/park bag. A lot of the features of a day pack transfer over to amusement park and travel needs. Light weight is great for travel and a day at a park. Thinner materials dry faster when you get poured on at Disney. water bottle pockets.... I mean they are great on any pack. stretch front pocket for those quick access items. But these features do not transfer over to a grocery getter bag. thinner materials are not good for sharp edges and corners of packaged goods. Thinner materials will wear faster. Storage space is a bit small (30-35L are a good size for grocery runs). Need more back padding for groceries as well. Look more into messenger backpacks if you need a grocery bag. Those are designed to haul weight and odd shapes. They are amazing for city life.
