One of my most favorite things to do is listen to jazz at night ( anytime after 1a.m. ). Something I picked up from my mom years ago. I would often find her late at night in her big brown "Lazy Boy " sitting quietly in the dark looking out the window while listening to gospel music. I asked her "Mom what's going on? why are you sitting here in the dark playing church music? she'd smile and say she was talking to the lord. As I got older ( and hopefully wiser ) I understood what she was doing. There is a certain peace that I find at night listening to "Coltrane" "Henderson" "Gordon" etc. Everything thing is still and you hear the music better because your mind is less cluttered and the pace of the day has slowed downed. It's 2:37 a.m. and I'm here on KZbin with my headset on listening to music from "Gregory Porter" one of my all time favorites along with "Will Downing" The "Consequence of Love" is a beautiful composition and Porter's execution of it is brilliantly elegant and it begs the question how many of us would go thought the consequence of love? We often try to take love on our terms when in fact love requires that it be had on it's own terms which often is very painful. But if we love/want what the object of our hearts desire is, what are we willing to sacrifice in order to have it?. As you can see I also tend to ramble at 3:a.m. My deepest apologies to you and good night.

The letter is bad news, I'm not sure what the news is. My first thought was it's a letter from the 3rd person of a love triangle who's tried of waiting for someone to leave their home. That would coincide the title of the song, "The Consequence Of Love". That was my thinking, however I'm open to other suggestions or theories.
