One of my favourite beaches. Days like that are for sleeping in the sun, that’s what I do anyway. Dungeness is traditionally a low tide venue, but everyone knows that fish don’t follow tradition. Well done on the bass :)

Cheers liz, it was hard work and not many anglers caught that day at all. I spoke to 5 on the day and 2 other since and between all those was a total of 2 fish. Soi didnt do too bad😂🤦‍♂️

The glove was actually a protected species and must not be taken for consumption at all due to declining numbers😂

Always a venue that will throw up the unexpected, black lugg catches me the usual suspects so it's good to see how you tackle it with the big cocktail baits. Glove ! My PB from Dungeness was a pair of ladies tights .

Hi greg you ok mate. Pleased you saved the blank . Just before you caught it you was on about just sitting bk and enjoying the day when it was dead. I was out early hours tuesdsy it was the same nothing happning .tips motionless in my tripod, so like you said i just enjoyed it and the sun showed her face after nearly 2 weeks. Well, the fillets are still in my freezer as i had too much food already in the fridge! 🤦‍♂️😂. The sun has made a massive difference to everyones mood but the fishing is still poor. Hopefully the autumn will see an upturn in fortune 🤞

What is the best time to fish dungeness I’m only just getting in to shore fishing Can we just park near the beach at any time or are limited to times of the day Thanks

To be honest im not the best person to ask about dungie. I went off the venue a long time ago. All i ever seem to catch is bass, dogfish or whiting🤦😂

The outlet pipe used to be a good spot but I think the whole of dungeness is on the decline

The sea looks a bit calmer than lately, last time as was down there was police immigration RNLI flying about helicopter flying on search mission. I used mackerel with squid and got one herring also I've just had a Sonic Vader XS 15 ft so hoping to choose a venue on Sunday.
