Shore Fishing UK | A Hard Session at a New Venue | Winchelsea Beach, East Sussex

Its a mark that I have been meaning to fish for a while now and when the opportunity come up to head down there and meet up with another couple of anglers, I jumped at the chance. Richard from ‪@saltyhooksfishinguk‬ mentioned the potential of good Bass from Winchelsea and as I hadn't got a firm plan of my next fishing session in my head I decided to meet up with him and his friend Brian on the beach and fish the incoming Surf. The conditions looked good for Bass to be feeding in the churned up water but with a tide coming in quicker than Usain Bolt there was more moving of rods than actual fishing. The evening was pleasant and the sunset spectacular but the fishing was poor. Oh well....you cant always catch!

@@gsp Just flicked around. Read to go at high tide. I'm learning my retirement hobby and recovering from illness so need somewhere walkable. I saw gullies etc. Like you see the experts talk about. So next month...🙏 🎣🎣

@@robregist it's very difficult to lure fish the gullies if the surf is running in over low because the water will be very churned up with sand and makes visibility poor for sight fishing. High might be the better bet. Are you at petts bottom or Fairlight?

I've had alot of bass in near identical conditions on the lug and squid head cocktail. They just weren't around on that particular tide

Apparently there are a few caught there but when I know that a few 60cm bass come out a few nights prior then that is my only target🤦‍♂️😂
