I fell in love with Minecraft about ten years ago, I just turned 65 and could not even imagine to find a more wholesome community as I have found in this game. The work and effort that modders have poured, the time and sacrifices and the enjoyment that they bring to the world is unparalleled in the gaming world. GT is something that I personally will not play ( I'm more chaotic than the organized mind you require to play GT ) but still watch every episode I can find that you make. To all the Minecrafters out there, thank you for being so AWESOME !

gtnh is literally, based on quantifiable metrics, the single most developed, customised and well made pack: gtnh has by far the most tweaks, changes, forks etc for the various mods out of any modpack and it's not even close. the number of recipe changes alone dwarfs even the biggest expert packs. it also has a significant number of exclusive mods/forks of mods specifically made for, and only for, gtnh. it is objectively the most developed and content-rich modpack in existence; and it is entirely free and has been for 8 years. I've gotten more time out of gtnh than any (in fact, probably all combined) triple A game I've ever played.

I kind of assumed that his play time would be about 2k at the end of the series and ive heard the pack is around 5-6k so I would say around 250 episodes. Honestly, the machinery, long wait times, and complex chemical lines always fascinated me when it came to gtnh, much more than just base GregTech. That said, I have always been reluctant starting a gtnh world because I have a irrational fear of facing mobs, which is why I played peaceful GregTech modpacks (Nomifactory and Technological Journey), and the existence of infernal mobs in the pack only amplified that fear, always making me a bit scared of starting a gtnh playthrough. However, after watching this video, I did start & play a new gtnh world for a couple of hours to see how it would go. I followed most of the things you did in the first episode, and so far it is great. I nearly had an encounter with an ender creeper within the first 10 minutes, but other than that I enjoyed it. I will definitely be playing more, and will try to get over my fear of mobs. I love your videos, you are the reason why I got into gtnh, so I can't thank you enough.

Just for reference, if I tried to generate chunks flying that quickly my PC would grow legs and walk out my door in search of a union. So that example of Java 1.8 running "poorly" seems a little confusing to me 🙃. It should go without saying, by the way, but in addition to all of these major changes there've been a ton of small changes/additions as well. For example there are a few new bees in 2.3.0 that didn't exist in 2.2.3, one example being Enderium bees which are another source of the Blinding production speed trait in addition to their regular bee produce. Space elevators to teleport to different planets? Old hat for the well studied (and mildly crazy) magician at that stage 🙃. These endgame multiblocks is why even a "permanent" setups using GT++ machines in IV isn't really permanent. These multis will obsolete even those setups eventually. Embrace the temporary (as "temporary" as literal hundreds of hours is, at any rate) nature of GTNH factories, because very little of what you build will not be replaced eventually. The key isn't to be done with it, the key is to have it work (and keep working) for as long as you can manage to design it. The new batch mode is going to be a complete game changer for PAs, because of one detail Three didn't get into: Overclocking. To (try to) give a brief explanation, PAs used to be hard capped on how much they could functionally overclock a recipe: Once a recipe was down to 1 tick, that was it. Any more would increase the power cost for no benefit. With the new batch mode, however, each individual machine in a PA can cue up 64 recipes to be processed in one big batch, which makes the recipe take 64 times longer...*before overclocking*. Previous hard cap on effective overclocking broken! But what if you run into the 1 tick limit again? This is where the underclocking option comes in - if you have a recipe that is trying (and failing) to overclock past the 1 tick limit you can underclock it back down to the 1 tick limit. This doesn't just save on power that would otherwise be wasted, however. I'm not 100% of the mechanics myself, but I've heard it's possible for machines to process bigger batches instead of uselessly trying to overclock an already maxed out recipe, meaning even more processing power beyond the limit that broke the previous limit. I've said before that PAs can have their revenge on GT++ multis in the lategame, assuming you've got enough power to throw at them, and these new mechanics have definitely solidified that idea. GT++ multis are great, but they're not "1 tick literally thousands of recipes at once" great. Covers can also be placed on any GT frame, if you're in need of just any random block to place a wireless redstone cover on, for the record.

Are you still working on FTB Interactions? Moved onto GTNH? Or taking a break? I'm really curious. If you still haven't tried GTNH yet, I recommend taking at least a short break when downgrading to an older version of Minecraft like from 1.12.2 to 1.7.10 because back to back some of the advancements of the mods in newer versions haven't been back ported to 1.7.10 yet, but in the past couple years, the GTNH team has been hard at work developing their own GTNH specific forks of 1.7.10 mods, backporting features of the newer versions, notably NEI getting a ton of JEI features, possibly even improvements on JEI's implementation.

I seriously want to play this pack, but from three play through using 800h+ only still early IV. And I can only play max 4h everyday, that almost 1 year of playtime for me. To finish the pack, it probably take 5 years minimum. So I’ll just stick to watching Three videos.

I consider this a positive, not a negative. It gives you a version of Minecraft where there's always more stuff to do, more things to accomplish. It's the opposite of normal minecraft where you can beat the dragon and get netherite within a few days then you get bored because you're already OP and having nothing left to do.

At this point it's more of a game itself using the Minecraft engine.

I don't get it. Why do they keep nerfing Stargate? And what does it even do?

I bet in hell, every "uh huh mods ruin minecraft" player is forced to automate the stargate
