I lived in Grenville back in the '70s...it remains the most idyllic time of my life. We had a little bookstore and many, many Grenadian friends and a Grenadian Grandmother. The town you walked through looked very much like it did back in the '70s. I fell in love with Grenada and long to return for a visit. Prices much much higher now, of course. We would buy a huge bunch of green bananas for $.50 BWI, hang them from the tree in our yard and pick as they ripened. Saw the bottles of cashew nuts...raw I presume...sold then in catsup bottles for $.75/bottle. Loved...LOVED the goat cheese made on the island. YUM! Got introduced to Cidra (British) which was Hard apple cider... OH MY! Finally found a hard cider here in America that is close to Cidra but not quite... Everyone was so kind, friendly....I must get back for a visit! I really must! Homesick now for Grenada! Ate in a little restaurant every day 1/2 a block from our store... homemade rotis ($0.50)...or curry season hamburger ($0.25)...homemade ice cream of whatever fruit they had on hand...my fav was peanut flavored ice cream ($0.12). Those were the days, my friend, I thought they would never end. I envy you!

Such a nice treat to find your channel and this video tonight. We came to Grenada in February 2020. It was our first trip to the island and then, on our return home of course there was the covid lock down. So we look back at those lovely days in Grenada with such longing for happier, more peaceful times. I enjoyed walking to the market for fresh fruits and veges each morning and being out early to see all of the different birds. We met some of the friendliest people in the world and the beautiful flowers and beaches. You have such a lovely place to live. I hope these are healthier times for the island and maybe soon we can return.
