Actually greninja night slashes are already pretty crazy when boosted. Can’t imagine with shuriken. It’s more or less like a sir fetch. The high attack is just too offensive

I was immediately turned off once they said that Water Shuriken was going to be a 3 turn FM. Until there's a mechanic that aids 3-5 turn FM, Greninja will be a liability. Fast charging means nothing for something squishy. They need flexibility. And I love how everything that beats it hard had super hard fast moves. Counter, Charm, Volt Switch, Razor Leaf. What was Niantic thinking?

There isn't a lot they can do with such a fragile Pokemon. I feel like WS being 3 turn is a great way to give it something over Swampert (the "speed") without being too wacky.

it would more come down to how many kyogre one has already at 40+ for raids. cuz kyogre has way more bulk and thus more tdo vs greninja. like i'm sure 95% of people would have 6 kyogre at this point. greninja is a good filler if one doesn't, but it's so glassy for raids when kyogre exists. very sad that even ash greninja still has less bulk then basic kyogre

I said it is good, but in the current meta, Swampert is better. All it takes is one small shift in the meta (like Walrein/Trev) or a move update (Acro) and this thing will be a household name.

Should new mons that Greninja has favorable matchups against become more meta, then it will also become more of a meta pick.
