i think sealeo is another winner from the water pulse buff - powder snow, body slam spam, and and more stat product than walrein has always given sealeo some promise but was held back without a good second attack. i can definitely see it being a strong option in limited formats now also everything on the bottom of the move availability update list from mud shot diglett to eq gastrodon was regaining their legacy moves like bullet seed lileep. charged tm tax isnt great, but at least they arent exclusive to a small handful of players anymore

I'm not saying it will be top meta, but I think Hippowdon having access to a fast energy generating move will do it quite a bit of good. It already has good bulk and good charged moves, it really just needed a good fast move, having just fang moves before.

Definitely over Bubble Beam. Ice Beam, AA, and WP will depend on the meta/role in your team. I can't see WP > AA unless you're on a Steel-type or aggressive Fire-type (for the most part). So it comes down to IB coverage mattering or not.

Dewgong with WP stab might be interesting depending on its final stats v non stab drill run which is useful v lant & regi. Curious how popular empoleon will actually be. Feel like feralgator might be more popular as a quasi swampert with good neutralish fast move pressure.

Brick break Vigoroth is really common in a lot of the cups that allow normal types but not fighting.

With RS in the mix, it depends on the meta, but true.

Often when it shouldn’t be though … you need a two stage resistance difference for Brick Break to outdamage body slam. Although the debuff chance definitely makes it now more reasonable. Definitely makes it even more worthwhile Vs the steel types.

I feel like based on your video, at most, we're going to see more people using mantine and empoleon in the great league. Other than that, I don't see a lot of change in the meta. On the plus side, the season starts with my favorite limited cup: the Electric Cup! Which means that dedenne has a moment to shine right here!

Earthquake was previously ultra legacy on Gastrodon. They’re giving it that attack officially now purely so it no longer has that distinction, not to actually buff it. Also duuude, it’s Whiscash, not wish cash. Like whiskers.

I'm not sure if I didn't make it clear, but Shadow Gatr and Empoleon are better. The stats I suggested for Empoleon are based on the Shadow.

Gallade seems to be better Virizion on ultraleague and then empoleon is mostly better empoleon on ultra league (with steelwing it can even run blizzard and still win a lot)

There's no more Classic formats, you'd need to dump 330 odd XL candy to get it up to lvl 50 ... GGs on a great shadow hundo, definitely use it for them Primal Groudon raids ayy 👍

Shadow Bone is currently only learned by Alolan Marowak even in the main games. They just simply reverted the dumb Shadow Bone nerf that happened like 3 years ago when Alolan Marowak was actually meta.

As exciting as a lot of these changes are, I think the biggest winners are gonna be the most boring. Basically any user of Aqua Tail or Cross Chop will be rejoicing.

The fast moves introduced this season are so dissapointing. Even if psywave had bee a 3/3 one turn move, it wasnt put on any of the pokemon that might actually use it. Metal sound should have had 1 extra energy to be a mud shot clone or 2 extra damage to be a wing attack clone. And sand attack while half decent, is just so close to mud shot stats, it feels kind of meh. And like psywave didnt go to half the pokemon that may have had some more use for it.
