This lecture has some interesting film analysis, but is full of factual inaccuracies that undermine its credibility. He says The Awful Truth ('37) built on Grant's success in Bringing Up Baby ('38), yet Baby was the later. He denies Grant played the piano, but is doing so in The Awful Truth and Night & Day. He says Grant married Dyan Cannon just after separating form Drake, yet there was 7 years gap. I also don't think he and Virginia Cherill lived in a house with Randolph Scott.

He seems to jump wildly through time and topic. Often fixating on areas of sterility and missing areas of genius and fact. His time lines are quite erratic, talking in a fumbling manner that is difficult to follow.Makes me think it is almost like a man that forgot to complete the book yet has to give an oral report and so stitched together things read in a comic book. Perhaps I'm being too harsh as I do appreciate that he is an admirer and gives credit as it is due.
