This concluding lecture considers a leading theme of Christian theology - that we have some innate tendency to believe in God (e.g., Pascal, George Herbert, and C. S. Lewis). The lecture then considers the evidence from recent "evolutionary cognitive science of religion" that religion is natural. The lecture assesses these findings, and considers their implications for debates about the future of religion in western culture.

God won't go away? He will, but it takes some time. Superstitions die hard. Human beings are not "hard-wired" to believe in god. The main reason religions (still) exist, are the children of devout parents, who brainwash their offspring before they reach the age of reason, when they are intellectually defenceless youngsters (which is why I plead freedom FROM religion).

You’ll learn the hard way that hard atheism is WRONG. Too many miracles which prove transcendence which disproves atheism. Shalom food for thought, if it’s true that atheism is correct why do the numbers stay about the same? Quantity of atheists hasn’t really budged since the enlightenment.

God can not go away- God is eternal... Us humans are just a vapor, here one moment and gone the next. You can't put God in a box and the Infinite can not be understood by the temporary.
