Greta Salome & Jonsi - Mundu eftir mér (Icelandic ver. w/ Music Video)

This is my favorite song in Eurovision this year, and while the English version isn't so bad, there's still this less than natural feeling you get when you hear a song with lyrics just translated and tried to fit in the same arrangement.
Anyway, I edited the original Icelandic song to fit with the music video. Obviously, the lipsynching isn't going to be the same. But I just wanted to have the original version with the music video.

Listened to this and sang the English version alongside it! Sounded amazing (in my opinion) but it was obvious Greta and Jonsi sounded better than me. Everyone does in their native language! This should have won. Their first win!

This was actually my picked favourite for winning Eurovision when I heard it a few months before the comp! So sad it didn't get as many points as I guess most of us had wished! It truly deserved a much higher spot! Absolutely love this song in both languages :)

I wish that Norway and Sweden could just speak Icelandic as Icelandic is the closest you get to Norse. And then use runes aswell.

Icelandic is a purer Nordic race as we're isolated from the germanic influence in history. Greenlandic people also. True Vikings blood.

what's everyone's obsession with singing it in Icelandic? YES it's a beautiful sounding language, but I'm GLAD that I can understand the also beautiful story the song has to tell. I really like the English version equally, because I can understand it and the story is important for this song.

If only they would actually sing it in Icelandic in the eurovision and not in English. It could definitely win if sung in Icelandic but it just sounds too common and plain sung in English!!!

I only understand some words, but the majority is unintelligible as Icelandic split from our languages a very long time ago and has different grammar etc.
