These kids aren't wasting any of their time. They're making the right contacts. Listening to smart musicians, learning, growing in their writing, their use of instrumentation, effects and overall showmanship. Pushing the boundaries. Never stagnant. They are no joke. I'm a full time musician of over thirty years. I've never seen a growth curve in any band to equal these boys, never mind a young group like this in my life. I can tell that they are taking care of their health. Ant they are keeping alive the greats who came before them. Those who carefully crafted the music and brought theater to the music. GVF are young, but they are already worthy conservators of rock and roll. They deserve the accolades.

Josh is growing, but let's not take nothing away from Jake, Sam and Daniel....these kids have evolved....in my thoughts.... to the greatest Rock n Roll band of the 20's...(that's 2020's) from an old R&R fiend.....that was weened on Bob Dylan and Carole King....i have shook hands and set down and had drinks with some blues legends....BB King, Greg Allman..Old Classics in small bars, Black Oak Arkansas, Outlaws...and Nugent in my small town of Paducah when I was still in the single digits...(complements of my sister)..to name a few....(i'm sure they would approve!) there's not much out there I haven't heard.....unless we hit the 90's....I became a bit selective.......but from the 30's big Band til now....they got it, they got the talent, they got the ear, they got the drive! Proud of these kids for reviving "old school R&R" with a mix of all the things of the past and present... KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOIN GRETA VAN FLEET CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU LIVE!

I'm a fan and will be seeing them later this month, but sometimes I feel like GVF fans speak as if the band is infallible. This is not their best live performance. Vocals on My Way Soon are definitely off. That's going to happen from time to time so it's not a diss, but let's not act like this is the greatest live performance ever captured. High hopes for the CT show I"m attending even if this isn't the perfection some are calling it.

@Thomas Lickteig, They are a relatively new band and a very young band. I don't think that Rod Stewart and the Faces, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie or any others started out with a silver spoon in their mouth. These kids are doing great. they have a Led Zeppelin, ( which I know they hate to be compared to) or a Yes type of sound. They will become a great rock and roll band. As long as they don't do this entirely for the money, but alot because they want to entertain the people that pay to come see them. Money will always be a reason, but when you also do it because the people love you and want to come see you play and will pay to see you play...play for them.
