Why can't people just appreciate the fact that Greta Van Fleet is the closest thing to rock and roll we have in this generation? I mean do you even see a freaking drum solo anywhere else? Criticizing modern music cause of its repetitive melody and chord progression and when bands come up to bring back the music of the 70's-80's you say they are a rip off? Learn to appreciate

What blows me away is the absolute cleanliness of the mix. They are all very talented, as guitarist myself, the bass stands out the most to me, the flow he has on those strings is flawless.

I personally LOVE them and think that they OOZE natural talent seeing as how they are all self taught no teachers or classes not even singing lessons..Josh had no idea that when he started singing what he was going to sound like..plus they write their own songs and nowadays most artists don't..The industry is flooded with a whole lot of crap that shouldn't exist. Greta Van Fleet is the exact opposite and should be protected at all times ❤ They never were looking to become famous.. They started the band cuz they love music and it was just something fun for them to do in their spare time..they didn't say hey let's start a band to become famous.. Well i don't see if it's a bad thing to start a band to become famous. I mean if that is your only goal then maybe yes. We started our band because we like to play instruments and tought it would be a fun thing to do, but of course we want to become famous. One reason for it was, that there isn't that many good rock bands and we want to prove that we can do it berter than anyone else nowadays and kinda bring rock back. But those are just our dreams and goals, not seeing it happening.

Wow. I'm floored. You guys must have had the best musical education via the 33 ⅓ LPs your parents had. You've done a miraculous job of bringing back some impressive stadium rock. I will admit I did not want to listen when I first heard you guys on the radio. In hindsight I can see that I was jealous. You had done what i hadnt In 35 years of drumming and touring. And it's apparent that you're doing a damn good job. So while we don't know each another, I will say that regardless, I'm very proud of you guys. Keep kicking ass. 👍🏻

They do seem zeppelinish, but I applaud them for aiming at a great target. I hope they grow their own unique vibe as they keep working in their skills. The epic bands are fading away, Styx is still very authentic and amazing, U2 can still crank it out, there might be a few others. Naxatras from Greece is the best modern band I have heard, more of a psychedelic rock band, they are awesome. It would be super to see more bands like this, God bless ‘em.

Watched them live when they were still a relatively new band back in Nov 2017 in Tucson at a small venue called the Rialto. It was a basic general admission ticket of $25 and I got up as close to the stage as I could. They were fantastic. So impressed to see that they’ve come such a long way and are now playing huge stadiums. I bought a ticket to see them again this year again in November five years later, but now at a much bigger venue (the convention center) and a seat far away for more than twice the price 😅

its so refreshing to see someone compare them to led zepplin without taking away how amazing they are themselves. It seems like every time someone does compare them its saying that they're just a crappy rip off. They are truly a blessing for the world and I'm so thankful to be able to grow up with them being the same age as half the band

If you were an actual Led Zepplin fan with decades of ears on music that has arguably been played to death on American radio you can tell from the first sound of any of the band members that it is NOT Led Zepplin, although they use a lot of design and style notes from classic rock bands I love the shit out of. I call this new genre: RESTOMOD ROCK. It's all the stuff I love but redone without losing the spirit and vibe. Close your eyes, breathe in, breathe out, then listen for 30 seconds again. You'll realize it's a lot like it in parts but it is absolutely not a clone of any classic rock band I can think of. It sounds like someone did their homework then decided the love party never had to end. I'm okay with it.

Inspiration is one thing…. Stealing everything good from one of the biggest bands of all time, and doing it worse, now that isn’t inspiring, it’s sad. There is literally nothing new at all here. And it’s mediocre compared to the original
