Sorry to say, the people of the late 50's weren't interested in Rock, they were the Elvis generation, and after that , they weren't interested in the Beatles and there is where (soft )Rock began. The kids of the 60's were the ones who stayed with Rock to the beginning of hard Rock and beyond .I'm 67 and part of that generation and still loving some of the new music. GVF's album , Garden's Gate is great from start to finish and I listen to it daily !
