I am 66 years old, retired and used to play guitar in a rock band in the '70s. This is the BEST band I have heard for the past 30 years. Musicians can sound like other ones just by FATE - so it's not a big deal at all. Even with an EFFORT to sound unique, you can come off sounding like another band.

Now...I Loooooove me some Zeppelin but nearly half their songs are adopted from other tunes. Some could say stolen. I don’t really care cause they made them their own and they sounded original. They still should have given credit. My point is.....Yes......GVF clearly has drawn huge influence from Zep. And I say...Thank God for these kids....They are great and they give Rock and chance to survive. I don’t even know any “artists” from the billboard awards these days. Most aren’t even real musicians. And I’m sure GVF will develop more their own sound as they grow. I look forward to it.

I bought Led Zep II way back in 69, and they sound like the 70/72 period. They are bound to be compared with Led Zeppelin but that's not a bad thing because they pull it off so well. Not only does the singer sound like Robert Plant at times but the drummer also has a style that is not unlike John Bonham's. If they want to put out more stuff that sounds like Zeppelin then that's great but they do have a style that isn't so Zeppelin too. It's a bit unfair to think of them as a Zeppelin clone. Creedence Clearwater Revival also has an influence of some kind and the singer reminds me of someone else but I can't quite place who that might be. I hope they are around for a fair while to come. As three of them are brothers they may well be.

So exciting. I’m way to young (21) to have been around when zeppelin was banging I was sad knowing I’ll never rock out to a page solo during a live performance or scream my lungs out to Roberts’s singing or Bob my head till I get a concussion due to JB’s savage drum playing....Nobody could ever replicate and replace zeppelin BUT this band specifically is a really alive blues rock/hard rock band. Their live performances are intense and I hope that they will get even more recognition because they’re bringing back nice music from another generation to our generation which is fucking awesome. Hopefully one day maybe in 50 years the kids will look back and say “hey you sound like Greta van fleet” haha or even still remember zeppelin. I don’t think zeppelin will be forgotten so it’s good to see the torch being passed on from musician to musician. One day Greta van fleet will have their very own sound which can take years, they’re so young and have time. But right now they are ON FIRE. Sick as band keep going and playing freely

stealing things and using them is different to a cover band, they pinched lyrics here, a riff there and some vocal melodies, on the first two albums quite a bit. Christina Wood It rocks if you are not familiar with Zeppelin, the guitar tone is very similar to Page but more than that it is the vocalist. He has a good voice but he alters his voice to sound like Plant a bit too much. At least the bass and drums are different because it is impossible to imitate John Paul Jones and especially John Bonham

To everyone complaining about how they sound. At least they are out there doing music, playing their own instruments. Not lip singing to stuff and forgetting to move their mouth in time to the recording. Give the kids some credit OR get out there yourself and do a BETTER job than they are doing.

Those who say that they are copying or ripping zeps songs off - guys, you're funny. You know what's funny? First of all, you actually don't know what "plagiarism" means. So, their songs is not a plagiarism or a rip off. That's just obvious. Second of all, guys, you all know who Led Zeppelin is, right? Jeez, it's a most influenced band of all time! 4 master musician come together and did a masterpiece. How can you be surprised that these young guys actually has been influenced from Led Zeppelin? It's not surprising and there's nothing bad. You should be grateful that they do not forget who Led Zeppelin is. That they grew up with Zeppelin's songs, and they decided to go out and spread it all around the world. So the new generation, thanks to them, will know that there is that kind of music as well. And your reaction to them is just strange. And it really makes me wonder.

I guess you think Zep never stole any riffs, lines choruses or lyrics from anyone else then? Please smash that glass bubble you've been stuck in for almost 50 years.. This band is doing nothing different than what countless great bands and artists of the past have done .Simply put, they're taking all of their influences and putting it into their music. Plant likes them in case you didn't know and so many other great musicians of the past do so too. This band is oozing talent and if you're really into Rock n Roll you'd wish nothing but the best for these young men. Mainstream music has been PATHETIC for going on 15 years now and if these dudes can break that vicious cycle I say ROCK ON!!!

There is a difference between inspiration and completely taking the nuances of Plant's voice and his performance mannerisms and just making that his thing. I could even sense awakwardness even in the interview when Plant was mentioned, they just played it off as "oh we must've grown up on the same music as him" 🤨
