These guys are great, finally young dudes who love and play Rock and not that crap that is all over the Radio, in award shows like the Grammys. A lot of people today are not into Rock, they could care less about the talent it takes to play an instrument, they have no clue about it. If the late great Eddie Van Halen set up his gear in the middle of a parking lot somewhere and started jamming, they would call it noise and keep walking, but if it were someone rapping they would stop listen and be amazed, they get the same feeling over that crap as we do over this, to me that is sad. So many young people and I'm not talking just about teens I have met people who are in late 20's who have no clue who Jimi Hendrix was, never heard of Zeppelin or the Doors, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy so many great bands but you can bet they know who Kanye West is and think he is Great, give me a freaking break.

I think they are talented as well and they are so young that experience on the road, especially with world class bands that they have opened for will help them in their development. My one thing I believe they need is someone to sing background on parts of songs at a lower range than Josh to blend the sound. Rush got away with one high pitched singer because most of their songs were heavy instrumental, and I believe this band has to either get one of the boys to sing some background or go less lead singing because it is too high pitched for every song

Who here meditates?! I knew I loved GVF from the beginning, but this song really opened my heart towards them even more. They have the same views on life as I do! "Enter the flow, Dharma Divine, Succeeding signs, Carbon dancing through time" Dharma is the eternal and inherent nature of reality, regarded in Hinduism as a cosmic law underlying right behavior and social order. It is also taught in Buddhism. And I take carbon dancing through time as, we are but atoms and gases. We are of the earth. "Ram, ram, ram, ram" Ram is the mantra of the manipura (navel or solar plexus) chakra. You chant this when meditating on healing the solar plexus. Every Chakra has a different chant. The most common one that everyone relates to meditation with is the Ohm. You know, oooohmmm.. This chant is when meditating on the Third Eye Chakra. "To comet across the blistering hue, Beyond the spaces of false and true, Away from the world we have riddled with scars, To be wholly free and amongst the stars" This is how I feel when I meditate. A time to be away from the world that we have ruined. To be with the stars. "You are the land, The sea, and the sky, The explanation why, We're tied to all things as one, Rhythm of space, Expansion of soul, A force beyond control, Travelers in time searching for the unknown" We really are tied to everything. We are all connected. There is much more to this life than we can understand. Western culture and western medicine has deterred us from searching within. We are a soul, experiencing life as a human for now. We are the universe. "Ah sri rama, jayam" This mantra instils confidence and promotes peace and harmony. I LOVE YOU GVF!!! I HOPE TO ATTEND YOUR CONCERT SOMEDAY AND DANCE THROUGH TIME WITH YOU!!!

It bothers me that there are still people who haven’t dropped the whole “Led Zeppelin ripoff” thing. The more I listen the them I just hear Josh, Josh, and ONLY Josh and I see the rest of the band as super talented musicians too

The quality of their first three albums created in their late teens and early 20s is nothing short of exceptional, among the best first-three-albums efforts to start a band's career, bar none. While their ability to pull from a rich rock and roll tapestry may have made their creative efforts less experimental versus the bands that were charting new rock genres through the '60s and '70s, their ability at such a young age to use and expand upon those standards to create rich, varied and vibrant music is to be applauded, not dismissed. Each album is better and the third is a masterpiece for someone raised in the 70s who loved everything from blues to progressive rock. Hopefully, I'll live long enough to listen to where they progress to in 10 or 20 years.
