Happy Holidays Gretchen! You got this girl! If it makes you feel any better, I'm your age and after my parents left my apartment the next night post xmas, I cried all night because I missed everybody. I also watched most of my favorite shows this year when I was wrapping or baking. My bf is very similiar to Max, the calm when I'm the anxious 😂 he always tells me you can't be positive all the time. It's ok to be in a bad mood. It's important to relax. Don't be afraid to talk to someone about medicine if you find yourself anxious more times than not. I just went on something in the last few years and it's been the biggest blessing. I'm so happy I finally decided to try it. Give yourself grace, you're doing exceptional. We are our worst critics, it's about time we're our best cheerleaders!! Can't wait to see all the good 2025 has in store for you! AND YOUR WEDDING EE ❤️🥹

Gretchen, it’s totally normal okay to feel sad and unmotivated during the holidays especially when you’re grieving a loved one. Go easy on yourself. I’m sure your family wouldn’t even notice the details that were driving you nuts, I’m sure all they cared about was being there with all of you. I hope you and your family had a loving Christmas and new year! Also thanks for always being so vulnerable and opening up to us.

I tend to marinate my chicken overnight in whatever seasonings, plus a little lemon juice, honey or yogurt to help tenderize it. I tend to cook everything in the air fryer at 400*. Also, I order boxes of compostable food gloves for handling raw meat, which means I’m less avoidant about cooking plus I don’t have to take off my rings lol.

I have a George Foreman grill and I always use it and season my boneless skinless chicken breasts with McCormick Montreal chicken seasoning. It’s my go to when I need something easy. I will also bake it with that same seasoning too.

To make good chicken you need a meat thermometer. Season the chicken well with whatever flavours you want and cook on high heat until the chicken is 165 degrees in the middle. Then let it rest for 10 min before cutting. Pretty much foolproof

For chicken: greek yogurt, lime or lemon juice and tons of seasoning! I usually air fry my chicken

I don't see why you couldn't cook the chicken and the cookies at the same time in the same oven. But, I've personally never had too, because we have 3 ovens!😅I barely use our main large oven,(it takes so much energy/is expensive). I mostly use our two toaster/air fry ovens.

I feel for you! Give yourself grace holidays are hard when an important loved one has passed away and does not get to be with us. I feel pressure to partially host or bring main dishes to holiday celebrations with my in laws. I am the only one around to help fill the gap (sis in law lives out of state near her husband's family). My husband tells me you get overwhelmed and stressed doing so much. I feel like I need to and want to make holidays special for family. Maybe next year 4 vlogs during vlogmas instead of 25. You get to keep memories on video forever and more time to be present with family and friends. I hope you continue to have a great holiday season with family and friends!

Use a thermometer when you cook meat. Chicken is done when the thermometer reads 165 degrees at its thickest part. Fail proof.

Overly season the chicken with sea salt, salt and pepper on each side, cook on the stovetop with olive oil! Comes out so good and so simple

IDEA! Maybe get some hooks right outside your garage door to make like a faux mud room for your coats! Hope this helps. I feel like that would fit your vibe nicely and make it all look put away

Chicken thighs dry out less easily than breasts are are more flavorful! Also cheaper usually

Chicken thighs > chicken breast. Tastes way better and it’s hard to over cook!

I think it always tastes nicer when I let my chicken marinate in the spices for at least 2 hours. Overnight is best. All the best for 2025!

For chicken I cut them in half and pound them down and season both sides with seasoning salt, garlic and onion powder or salt, and pepper! Air fry it at 390° 6 mins each side then put in the pan in some garlic butter for a min both sides! Sometimes I do it the exact same but bread them first!
