I got the Brooklyn Standard Snare too and aim to get the Gretsch Brooklyn shells one day. Trouble is that the lugs on the snare loosen during a session, so I’m sending it back for repair. Do you find the same issue with your lugs on the snare? Also noticed your an Ausi. In sydney and teach by chance?

Hi Lincoln. Thats a bummer about your snare. Glad there replacing it for you. I havnt had any issues with mine. I love the sound and feel. Great tuning range too. Im in Melb. Theres lots of great teachers in Sydney. 😀👍

Great kit, are the Johnston snare hoops triple flange? I had a Brooklyn snare with 302 hoops and didn’t like them… broke too many sticks

The Johnston hoops are 302. i havnt found them to be stick choppers. I guess I dont hit very hard.
