Im an Oilers fan and I picked Florida to win the cup before the playoffs started.That doesn't mean I don't believe in my team or support them 100% These are all Professional Hockey Players, you have to give every team the ultimate respect, there are no flukes getting through 3 rounds of playoffs, just hard work and yes timely bounces but everyone earned those spots and only a fool would take any one here lightly, Gretzky is cheering for the Oilers regardless what he says on Camera.

It hurts a lot worse when you made it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals and it's within your grasp and you lose. Teams in this situation usually end up significantly worse the next season. Edmonton ain't gonna beat Florida. If all of the broadcasting stations talked as poorly about Dallas that beat two former Stanley Cup Champs before playing Edmonton and they couldn't give them the credit due, then what challenge were they for Edmonton? Edmonton struggled against Dallas and Florida mowed through the top NHL team this year in the league. If Florida beat the NHLs top team without much of a struggle at all and Dallas was seen to be as bad as TNT and NHLs official KZbin channel made them sound..... And to me it looked like Edmonton got lucky, how are they gonna be any kind of a match for Florida? I honestly didn't want Florida to win either, I wanted a Dallas vs New York series but, this is what we got so, what's the lesser or two evils kinda situation? Not Edmonton. Without McDavid, whatve they got? It's like Pittsburgh, without Crosby, they suck and Crosby had an ego the size of Detroit. Washington Capitals? Same thing, without Papa O, they got nothing either, they suck. You really think Skinner is a good goalie? HECK NO! He's incredibly lucky. He's bo Hasek or Osgood. No, Dallas may have been better off losing to Edmonton than Florida because it's that much more painful to be that close and play that many games, wear yourself out to get there and then come up just that short. It's not MAN, WE WERE SO CLOSE! Nah, it breaks you and there's no participation trophies in the NHL either and nobody buys Conference Champ hats, they don't even make hats for getting into the playoffs so, I wouldn't bet on Oilers as Stanley Cup Champs this year simply because Skinner really isn't that good, he got lucky and once Florida figures out McDavid, they'll stop him. I don't want Florida to win this year either but, this is what we got. NHL is an American organization. What ANY Canadian teams are doing in the league when they have the CHL is beyond me, maybe because the NHL pays a lot better but, it's not gonna happen. This is American hockey, it's gonna be Florida, they want it more
