Actually, they won the world championship. At the end of the day, the majority will not know that Grey brought the u17 side and no one even knows if it's actually true or not. And when the school's reputation is on the line, they decided to not play their best team so that's on them. Right now, HBHS is the best high school rugby team in the world.

@@abelthegoat2471 if one is ignorant rather not say anything. At the end of the school year the Grey matrics, final year, walks under the reunion bell. This is the 13th of October that coincides with the founding celebrations of Grey-Kollege. When they walk under the bell they become Old Grey’s. No tradebacks. You get not to redo it. Youdo not get to become a Grey boy at the age of 19. They don’t allow anyone at school once you turn 19. I’ve only seen it once and that was when a Grey boy broke is neck during a 1st XV game. He was allowed to complete his final year the next year. So most of the kids that played 1st XV in 2022 were done. They could not play. About 8 of the kids that played in this invitational played under 16 this year. So yes when it comes to honouring Grey tradition they will field a team that is not a 1st XV. Honour weighs more than short term gains for Grey.

Sadly, rugby is dying in NZ. The game is a shadow of what it used to be here, from grass roots to ABs level. No one goes to games anymore, people from traditional rugby families and communities don’t even register their kids. In fact, most communities barely place any importance on their local set up. The old days, where whole communities were involved are a distant memory. Club rooms sit dormant, all across NZ. Most people are just trying to survive. Yet we still produce some magical teams and players. However, SA seem to have maintained their obsession for the game. As much as I still love the game, in the end, a large majority of Kiwi’s just don’t care anymore. It’s like most folks have left it behind. Sad but true. Yet the Saffas still place so much importance on it. Good on you.

Was thinking the same thing but let's give it a pass. Atleast theres no vocal of Kanye in the intro, we only hear Frank Ocean and Jay-Z in the clip. It's a co-production between a number of artists which Kanye unfortunately is one of, but that's it. He needs to be canceled but unfortunately you'll find remnants of him in so many popular songs of the last few decades, especially when you think how many of the top songs of the past 20 years he produced, that he had a hand in without even being a featured artist on said track. No way you can enforce the cancel policy he so rightfully deserves without unfairly dismissing the hard work of the artists who collaborated with him. Sorry if I'm not being articulate enough, english isn't my first language but I hope the message I'm trying to convey is somewhat clear.
