Hey guys, just wanted to share, I explain how to counter what I did to rag in the description. I also want to share that this happens a lot in silver. If you can get a clear advantage the enemies tend to just give up and rage at eachother. So learning the little things in the beginning to get good advantages lead to a lot of these games. I know this particular game wasn't a long drawn out game, but tbh most of my games in silver look this way.

I like Greymane in Heroes of the Storm because he was a worgen, advisor to Varian Wrynn and Anduin Wrynn and king of Gilneas. You can be trapped in Silver if you don't play an enormous amount of games. Using statistics to win is fine when you play enough. But if you play league sparingly then the incremental increases in rank feel like you are stalled and make it unbearable. You then play even less games from that feeling and become trapped. So while technically impossible, it happens often enough to those who don't feel that throws, disconnects, trolls and other things of that nature are worth it. At the end of the day rank doesn't matter if you aren't a pro gamer. So it's best to stick to Quick Match unless you're in a group ahead of time. While it may be tougher, it will be funner and more reliable.

Oddly enough one of the things that has made em a better Hots player (not that I'm particularly good) is playing LoL. LoL is extremely punishing for making mistakes early on; wave management, ganking, lane priority and macro is crucial. If you tend to play solo laners, double soakers then I'd suggest playing a bit of LoL. The one thing that you need to do in Hots more is use abilities in bushes and watch the mini-map a bit more since there are no wards to give you vision (abathur mines, creep etc help of course). I've played Hots for years and find it a more fun game, more team oriented and more diverse with multiple maps but there is something to be said for trying other games in the genre to see what you can learn to make you a better MOBA player in general.

Its nice to have this kind of content but i would like to see how you can carry with these heroes in situations where you dont have the advantage, as you had it in these recent games. It is easier to carry and get value when your team has an advantage and one of the reasons why is that the enemy team usually do not know how to play in the decision department in these circumstances and it pretty much snowballs. Thats why i want to watch a video where, for example, you were on the enemy team in this exact same match.
@tomvittino5 жыл бұрын
He's a Master level player. Eventhough the other team throwed the match, the video can teach someone on silver (basic positioning, basic stutterstepping, basic map awareness) how to get to a higher rank. He shows it all: build, aa, positioning, double soaking, map awareness, poking, denying xp, denying stacks, combos, etc.. That Raynor throwed or that the other team gives up is not actually relevant on the analysis.

The point is he created the clear advantage. They were almost a level ahead since level 3 and the raynor realized this, got angry, and starting feeding. Low ranked players dont know what they need to do to come from behind so if you ever get a lead on them their team will start feeding or at the very least playing hyperaggressive/split up.

NotParadox This is the exact reason why silver is limbo hell. Half the time the people throwing games are on your team, other half on the enemy side. In such games the only time time you can affect the game is at the start. Frustrating when you’re losing, not much joy in winning because of throwing from other side. And your rank just waddles back and forth.

@Yorekani5 жыл бұрын
TL:DR: Pick Ana. Heals from a screen away, good sustain healing, great Cleanses at 13 bound to a 2sec cd, can actually survive divers if you can land darts. Really bad PvE damage, though. Pick Rehgar if players at your rank consistently neglect macro... and/or your team really didn't want to draft waveclear for some reason. More general playstyle advice: Don't worry about your accuracy at the start. It'll get better. Ana is balanced with the assumption that she'll miss Healing Darts as well. This makes her mechanical skill ceiling higher, which just means you can significantly increase your healing numbers with practice. Increasing healing on other healers isn't quite as straightforward by comparison. Throw your grenade early, as soon as heroes hitting 75% in fights or 50% without immediate threat. The longer your team can fight with confidence, the better. The same goes for Nano Boost, for that matter. Use it on the target while they have high health, because the enemy team usually tries to kill the Nano Boost target, which means it's too late for Nano Boost when your frontline doesn't have enough HP left to engage alongside your Nano Boost target. In general, it's a lot easier to heal with Ana while your team isn't retreating, because they line up more nicely for your Healing Darts. Aim Down Sights (Trait, activatable) should be active for most of the fights. The range increase on Healing Dart and Sleep Dart let you play further back and you can sometimes heal two heroes. Stay focused on one target at a time, though. Hitting multiple people with heals or sleep is nice, but you'll often miss your intended target or even hit nothing. Some observant teammates may even line up for you if they notice your consistent aim on one target. However, the main reason why you want your trait active during fights is so you can immediately cancel it when you need to run. If you activate it and get jumped two seconds later, you're stuck at 75% move speed for two more seconds. If you accidentally activate it when you wanted the opposite, you're stuck with it for four seconds. Keeping it active by "default" also helps build your reflex reaction to dive. Your reaction to dive should be to fire a Sleep Dart and then cancel Aim Down Sights, which gives you a nice headstart for running away, even if your team wakes the diver(s) up soon after. I also recommend taking Debilitating Dart at level 4 in most cases, as it gives you another dart to fall back on. This also means you can fire your Sleep Dart offensively for some chain cc without becoming completely defenseless. As for macro, don't bother with camps much. Your PvE damage sucks. If the lane isn't pushed out far, you can catch that one wave of soak your teammember(s) would be missing instead. However, if the teammember(s) moving to the camp are at ~75% HP or below, you may also join them, because they're usually easier to hit with Healing Darts while doing the camp. In general, you don't want to stay alone for too long. You don't want to give the enemy team enough time to coordinate a gank. If you get angrily pinged or called out in chat after not joining for a camp, just always stick with your team. Team morale is worth more than the XP of a few minions. On that note, don't let missed heals get to your head, even if your teammates flame you for it. Getting into an argument breaks your concentration and typing in chat takes away time from playing the game. Both of those will further reduce your healing numbers. Focus on the game and trying to hit as many heals every two seconds as possible. Edit: *consistently.

@Yorekani5 жыл бұрын
@@giuseppetomasella6859 Well, take my plat coaching with a grain of salt, but I pick Ana fairly often. If I had to add one thing: Think less about how to "carry" a team and more about what you need to be doing. Most supports shouldn't solo camps*, shouldn't tank in the frontline** and shouldn't dive to finish kills***, but trying to do the jobs of your team means you have less time to do your job. As pointed out in this video, always try to make use of your time. First priority is keeping the team healthy and only after that can you think about other ways to create an advantage. Examples for exceptions: * Rehgar ** Uther *** Kharazim It's even more important with heroes like these to keep your priorities straight, though.

What should've done that Ragnaros to counter the way you were freezing the lane?
@lordphill8075 жыл бұрын
if you can clear out the enemy wave and get your minions to walk into tower range and die, the waves will no longer be frozen and will once again meet in the middle. Of course if rag then stacks his quest on the minions in the middle of the lane, clearing the wave, paradox will once again freeze the lane. Ragnaros has strong waveclear, so he can ideally do a fast clear on the wave with his abilities. The problem is that he puts himself at risk of ganks with his overextending, and can potentially tank tower shots, while allowing greymane to dive him. Its why freezing is so good, easy soak for you and easy ganks on enemy, while making it tougher for them to soak. You have to be able to quickly go in, clear the enemy wave, and prevent the enemy laner from distracting your own enemy wave, whether that means bullying them away from your wave or getting them to walk past your wave and attack you. If the hero freezing the wave destroys you in 1v1 matchups, and your hero can't reliably clear the enemy wave, its a very tough position to be in, meaning you might not want to give them an opportunity to freeze in the first place.
@MrPorto4ever5 жыл бұрын
there's a couple of things he could have done: First one, and the one where he failed the most, was that he didn't understood the match up. If you can't win in a 1vs1 against your lane enemy you should try to be the one freezing the lane. Secondly he could have have double soaked. Rag has good waveclear, and although the lanes are a bit far apart making him loose a bit of xp per wave it's still better than geting no xp at all and not geting any stacks for your quest. Comunicate to your team that you will start to soak both lanes so that the other 4 are free to push bot and get camps. Now the enemies have a choice to make. Either let you guys push bot freely since you have one more man there or match it up puting one more person down there. In the first case the rest of your team will be able to push some structures compensating for the xp being lost top. If they go for the second choice grey will be forced to double soak too and there rag is in a better spot, meaning that you will actually soak more xp then greymane and even better, further your quest more quickly. Thirdly, since rag needs his stacks to be helpful to the team, he could have asked to simply swap lanes with somebody. The team would still loose the soak top but atleast you rag would be in a better spot to help.
@Junglej0hn5 жыл бұрын
Also, this Rag just straight ran at the wave withut thinking. NP was standing in the top brush to zone him off the wave but there is actually a similar brush at the bottom of the lane where he could have ust hung out and soaked exp without contesting the wave. Even if there was no such brush pushing greymane out of his brush by either running around the fog of war at top of the lane or waiting for greymane to go thin the wave(kill some minions to prevent the wave from crashing onto his towers and breaking the freeze) and then taking the position in the brush for when he comes back to the brush. Playing around vision is super important in ranged vs melee matchups (since you cant AA from range without vision and 9/10 melee wins battles fought in melee). In any case, the worst thing you can do is to just run at the wave through greymane as we saw this Rag do. Even if he tries to blockyou from exp go into fog of war and find a way around greymane to get to the wave. e.g. you saw greymane go to the top brush -> you circle around to the bottom of the wave. This way greymane cant freefire while you run up to the wave. At this point you combo the wave and leave at once. You will take some damage but that is unavoidable, what matters is that you limit the amount of poke you take. Sorry for the rant - it ended up longer than expected.

Dude, i appreciate ur coaching but we dont really care about that announcement: “being Demoted/Promoted” at beginning of every single video!

Very impressive watching masters smurf silvers. With your skill level wouldn't any hero be good?
@j.v.74475 жыл бұрын
You can just make a video like this for every hero cause you're GM so it's not a good representation

@NotParadox This "Carry" series needs to end ASAP! I really prefer you say tips on master or above because your tip at this point not helping. You need to understand this. This is a TEAM game. At low ranks, you need to understand that players still don't understand like maps, obj, camps, and team fights. You need more of how to camps or how macroing really is. Those videos can term "carry" games with the team. These heroes one-trick video not helping. Your teaching maybe like a healer or tank main try DPS and failed so bad that it cost the game more ways than one. Even worse will be DPS players trying heroes like Greymane because of your videos. Again, start from more basic first then slowly move to basic hero build and tips that any new players can play. Thank you!

He's been uploading vids for 3 years already. He has a Discord channel for private coaching. He has all kinds of vids, carry to master, low leagues, how to play, common errors, builds, patches, coaching of players at different levels.. If you took the liberty of actually checking the channel and his content, you wouldn't be writing such a poor review. And I mean poor because you clearly have no idea about what you're saying.

@@tomvittino I have been watching his channel over a year and I do know what I talking about. I even read some of his comments on these past videos and I'm not the only one think so. I know a person who was coach by NotParadox told me this, "He is an amazing coach and knows this stuff/" Well summary of it and now after recent videos, he stopped watching his videos. There is a differece between being coached vs a tip and tricks video. All I'm saying is that Low ranks are more of coaching rather than a few videos. Also , update videos on example like lannng now after Deathwing launch vs year ago lanning video. Many changes happen so, an update video will be nice. P.s. you need to read my comment next time and stop being a fanboy and defending him his some god. I only giving suggestions not demand or your too high in the rank to understand?

@@TransPyra The term 'carry' isn't being used here as a guaranteed win, because as we all know, Heroes is a team game. What he means by carrying is that you can use the heroes he's showed as having more of an impact on the game than your teammates, or other, less valuable heroes to *boost* your winrate, not bring it to 100%. He is aware of that, and most of the people watching his videos are aware of that. A macro video like what you're suggesting isn't gonna bring you all the way to carrying 100% of your games either. That's impossible. You're also not doing anything to back up your claims.
@Xanthanarium5 жыл бұрын
@@TransPyra That said, I do agree that I would like to see some updated macro videos--map specific ones would be really handy. I agree with you there.

@@Xanthanarium Its not about "carry" or "100%" It about knowing the game. These are the "term" we use and some players still don't know that. Esspaslly in low rank. It just that when Deathwing comes out, old and new might come and we need a refresher on the basics. That being said, my previses comment is to tell him the same thing you're telling me. If you want proof then I'm making my own videos to back-up my claims.
