This is very nice, and it looks lore sensible; very pretty but not 100% out of place. Yea we get Skyrim is NordNordNord but, I can imagine a Breton or Imperial comissioning the wood to be cut like so.

Agreed. It would definitely fit High Rock or the Cheydinhal part of Cyrodiil. Maybe it’s because it reminds me of Rothenburg ob de Tauber and I headcanon the Colovia part of Cyrodiil to be a lot like Bavaria (Germany), Austria, Trentino Alto-Adige (in Italy) or even the Czech Republic, maybe even Hungary or Poland. Maybe it’s because of a Reddit post I found years ago that talked about Colovia having the Tamerilic equivalent of Oktoberfest.

In most places there are multiple styles of architecture. One of the things that is super un-immersive for me in Elder scrolls games, although my favorite games, is the monotonous architecture everywhere. It's certainly a lot easier to build that way in games of course, but it's always bugged me. People from other places bring their own talents and aesthetic with them, and so it's a very rare (and imo, stagnant aesthetic) where buildings are cookie-cutter samey.

That's why I liked Oblivion more than Skyrim (as good as they both are). The cities and areas felt more unique.

Makes me think of buildings youd see either in cyrodil or highrock. Kinda medieval style. Picture a knight or paladin character living here.

It would be perfect if it had eaves. I don't mind the sign, unless it stayed there. lols Immersion is such a personal thing. Too bad a lot of people don't know what the word means. Realism and immersion are not the same thing, even though they often intertwine, depending on the potential immersee.

What a pretty home! It’s neat that it’s in a location not typically used for player homes. The custom features are beautifully done. The furnishings and decorations are quite unique. Thank you for showing us this lovely home.

This is, obviously, a Daedric transported show home from an alternative future in another universe, showing what a Skyrim united in peace and prosperity under the Dragon Born could be like. Peace through the desire for nice things for all. At the moment it screams peace, and prosperity, and rob me blind, but, hopefully, there's some magic at work to keep the miscreants at bay. I for one would solve the "not lore friendly" debate and my concerns about security of valuable knickknacks by taking advantage of the Daedric Dodge. Put it into an alternative Daedric world space to both justify its great looking existence and to limit the number of uninvited tourists.

It's a really nice house. It's in a really nice area too. Architecture reminds me of a blend of Spanish and Italian, especially with the curved-tile roof. Only thing I don't care for is the plush chairs and sofa, but that is easily overlooked as I'm never sitting in my house (always things to do, you know).

In case it matters to you (if it doesn't that's fine too), couches have been around for at least 4,000 years irl. So they're not out of place in Skyrim, though the styles are often out of place if you're going by irl furnishing styles. This house lacking eaves is the most glaringly out of place part of the mod as far as realism. Eaves are what keeps the rain from undermining the building foundation, and that's definitely a thing to be avoided irl. lols

Wow, I just saw this video from 9 years ago on my Apple TV! This mod is quite advanturous I must say. Never been to England (I live in Quebec) but from the outside, it looks like houses in the English countryside we see on TV. Contemporary yet still retains some of the Skyrim flavour, say, like a house builder who came from another region of Tamriel and brought some of the local architecture to Skyrim! The furniture is a tad over the top but the build is bold, fresh... I like it! Thanks for another fine video Febrith, even if I came to it a little late!

Most of us are concerned with stability in player homes. Someone please just make an ultimate add on for artifact, trophy, unique items, buildable hearthfire room in the already buildable houses.

*Saw this mod coming out in Nexus today and I must say I wasn't happy looking at its file size. Don't take me wrong, the home is definitely beautiful on the outside and the interior just normal. But I see no reason downloading a small player home that takes 350+ mb file size when anyone could just get giant castle home mods instead that have every facilities & even more but take less than 100 mb space. What caused this mod to become big is due to the fact the author bothered to use a very high texture (4k/8k) to create this which doesn't make sense, honestly. It's the same case as that "Lakeview Manor As It Should Be" which is also a big file sized mod (300+) solely due to the fact that one was a also created using high texture despite not having many interior/exterior facilities. What these high texture player home mods do is that they reduce your FPS as soon you enter the house or take a walk around the courtyard which is a red flag for low and mid end desktops. At least 80% of Skyrim fans would agree they don't care much about high texture, because it's the benefits and convenience in a mod which matter most at the end of a day. One example is that if you're looking for a player home that can accommodate several of your followers or more than 2 children, then this player home is definitely not for you*

Feb, have you seen the mod for Legacy of the Dragonborn called ‘Museum Renovations’? It slightly overhauls the interiors so it has brighter walls & flooring. I just found it & really like it. I highly recommend you check it out!

I'm one of those lore friendly Skyrim players that doesn't want anything modern in the my load order. The most "modern" I go is hairstyles. My Dragonborn isn't going to walk around looking like a tool. She needs her hair to look fabulous.

I agree. And immersion does not always mean realism or lore friendly. Immersion is solely about being immersed in something, and what is immersive for one person is never the exact same as for another person, and often immersion is wildly different for different people.
