If AJ had a personality like almost all artists and all humans, that is, narcissistic, people would love his beautiful voice but it would end there. In AJ's case, I believe people are captivated by his simple, gentle, generous, noble, pure, innocent, spiritual personality. AJ's voice is rare and wonderful and it's a gift to listen to him, but his personality is even more rare and wonderful, and it's something extraordinary to see such a vocal talent in such a beautiful personality and human soul.

To be honest, IMO, no other singer alive in this planet can be compared to 14 yo Angelina (or 12 yo in this video), they're not even close. In this home video (with a great mic), what we see is NOT what we hear!! Like Greywolf said: It does not compute!! This is so true! I follow this young lady since 2015 and never got hooked by any other artist like this. Angelina is in her own league, no one close to her. She has that "IT" factor, some sort of extra ingredient that she perfectly control at a very young age. Versatility, creativity, charisma, talent, artistry, technique as well as that unique, velvet, soulful, cozy, powerful voice. These are some words to attempt describe her "IT" factor but words are helpless. Not to mention on her big heart and kind personality!!! Can't wait for her next masterpieces. Go Angie!!! Cheers!

Sometimes I get the feeling she made these simple home recordings just for fun. Not too much effort. Testing out some voice colors. But something in her mind and voice adds unconsciously an emotional click that triggers all kind of emotions to (most of) her listeners. At least nostalgia and melancholy! So special! You are right. At this time it had become a hobby. When she was not performing in charity events she would set down and sing and look at what she has left us. We actually have a history of a musical prodigy and a genius from the age of eighteen months to the present

It's almost like I cant get enough of it. Being a longtime vocalist and musician I am continually blown away at her knowledge of diffent styles, sounds and textures. Even the colors. She has a personal appreciation of all types of music as well grasp of heart. It doesn't even look like she has it while she sings, its just there. She has to work at looking the part because its just there. At timesshe has been able to change her voice and doesn't sound like herself really. Its rather earry. She is hypnotic. I'm intrigued. My playlist still has a lot of Karen's songs - I love her low and rich voice. But, Angie adds a third dimension that reaches your soul. She sings in 3D, not 2D as for most other singers. Perhaps Karen could have done that too, if she had loved singing the way that Angie does.

I think this and her first time in studio doing I Who Have Nothing are my second and third favorite songs by her, with Million Miles be well, a million miles in the lead at #1 It's not just that she has a good voice either, look at her singing "I who have nothing" and you can get a sense of the real Mericle. It's her natural timing, Tambor and intonation. She just hits it like its nothing even at Six! 6 Years old! I Was still trying to get the hang of row row row your boat and she is belting out songs like that! The rest of the music industry needs to step up their game if they want any hope of comparing to this.

There are rumors going around that Anglina will have a new album coming out. She's here in the states now I know this for sure . She is traveling back and forth from New York to LA. But sense COVID 19 it has really slowed down her chance to record. All we can do is wait,but when that day comes, and it out will be sooner than later. Angelina went all in on this one. That vocal fry is just insane. Some thought it might be too much... I disagree. This is exactly the right amount IMO. Note: while this was published in 2019, it is actually most likely recorded when Angelina was just 12 years old. Interestingly she published this video on her channel and then just a few days later took it down (perhaps based on comments about the level of fry she used... maybe for other reasons, we may never know) Fortunately Boris rescued it from the dump and re-posted it for us all to enjoy.

Many jazz singers of the time period of this song used this to great effect in their music. PS. I agree with Rusty on this one. GreyWolf, thanks for another amazing reaction, I am very much in tune with your reactions, and it's true ... she never ceases to amaze you, every time, she is able to go a little further. This interpretation of Angelina is the example of her way of dealing with the songs, she can do anything except the stupid replica. I love this little girl when she does her vocal experiments, without any fear. In each song she look for her own interpretation key and since she have a thousand keys, she just have to have fun seeing which key seems most suitable. 😅 It's very nice to be able to see his research in this musical performance done at 13, with a greater maturity in his voice, with that exasperated use of his scratchy voice, which makes you shiver. Her rehearsals are also small masterpieces, especially considering the age in which she performs them and seeing how she does it effortlessly and having fun, especially this time it's evident, in her smiles hinted at throughout the song 😳 😳

I'm from Norway and has been following this girl from the program Norway got a tallent. Chldren participents were never intersting for me untill I heard Angelina sing. She litterarley blew my mind away. I have mixed feelings about young artists, but it seems like she has a good family around her who is protecting her. I wish her the best and that we all may hear her brilliant voice and her interpertations- both her own stuff and others for years to come .

I have commented several times that Angelina is a vocal chameleon. The versatility in her vocal ability is unlike any other singer, young or a seasoned adult. I find it amazing how she can adapt her voice to fit the song and the genre and she does it so easily.

Thanks again :) Angelina has such an amazing arsenal of vocal resources! And she uses them perfectly to fit every song. A vibrato there, a vocal fry somewhere else, chest voice, lower register and it goes on and on. The musicality she has, particularly in this genre is mind blowing. Not only she grew up listening to these songs but her amazing ear and perfect pitch makes, as you said, one go back in time and think the songs are being performed by seasoned much older singers. This can't be taught. It's innate, a gift.

You are right. This performance brought goose bumps and tears around the eyes for me when I first watched it. It was quite a powerful and convincing performance. Without the visual I would have thought it came from some well established and seasoned blue singer and her famous timeless album, not from a little girl singing in her living room. It's fantastic.
