Hi There I have been Watching Angelina Jordan since the Beginning 18 Months In Her Cot Sing the I who had Nothing Shirley Bassy /Tom Jones 15 Secs In English and then did a song Straight Off at 5 years and then went into a Recording Studio In Oslo I Think and did 4 Songs At 6 years Old And was singing lots of Songs of different Artists at 7 Years Old The Walker Brothers all on You Tube in Two 40 MIns You Tube 3 y to 11 years And 11 years to 13 years but the one that shows her at 7 Years old is I think her Best Every 2nd Audition doing a Acapello version of a Billie Holiday Song with all the 4 Judges and other Artists and did it Perfect is Magnificent. And still watching her to her live stuff in July /August 2022 and i think she is from another Universe Like Aurora And Anastasia Tyurina and Yoyoka Soma and must Probably not your Genres But Mesmerizing and well worth looking at in my Opinion and Watch them every Day And Keeps a Very Big Smile On my Face. Angelina's mom mentioned to an interview that Angelina asked her to join her in Norway got talent because she is ready for it. She begun singing when she was just around 1 1/2 yr old. In my world of music she is an angel sent from above. Amazing voice.

I can't believe you have never seen this. You and I have watched her together so many times. I might have seen this a thousand times already. She is my very best example of a life changing , jaw dropping, soul reinvigorating and life enhancing experience there is. What she does is an example of one of the most beautiful and precious experiences that we as humans can experience. A child prodigy displaying the innocence, humility and sincerity of a professional so effortlessly that we all look into ourselves and think, I could have tried harder, I could have done better! And then she went out to play.

That was my first Angelina video. I was overwhelmed and immediately fell in love with Angelina's voice. I did not know the original song and after listening to it I only really realized what a child prodigy Angelina is. ✌️😎🇩🇪🇪🇺💯. Angelina won Norway got talent with four JAZZ songs. Angelina received 46% of the votes from the top 10.

She was never not going to be on this talent show. From 3 years old she wanted to be on a talent show, from 5 years old she started pestering her mom. I am glad her mom held out until she was 7. This was her very first exposure to the larger world. I can still remember watching this in 2014, and having roughly the same reaction you just had. There is no explanation. This entire song is adlib for the vocalist. That is what it makes it so difficult. The singer can float along, but they must maintain time. For such a young vocalist, they must be in the groove and able to feel along and sing with intensity.

Angelina was 8 when she sang Summertime -- not 7. There was obviously a long pause between her audition and the final competition, which is often how these "Got Talent" programs work. She looks and sounds much older when she sings Bang Bang and Summertime vs Gloomy Sunday. Perhaps Rusty can add perspective here.

@@ClandOp All of Angelina's performances on NGT happened between january and may of 2014. It is only a 4 month time span but a kid can change a lot in 4 months when they are 7/8. ...and the "long pause" between 'gloomy' and 'fool' was actually only about a month and a half.

@@wippletits Thanks, Kent -- outstanding insight. 6-8 month interval between audition and finals makes perfect sense. AJ's development as a singer is remarkable -- as is the growth of her teeth :) -- between Gloomy and Bang Bang. Clearly she had months of practice, and input from excellent coaches and musicians, who recognized her talent and potential during the auditions ( including "Fool" sung a capella) and worked with her extensively before the finals. Everyone needs to recognize that the musicians working with AJ are top tier. Yes, she is an exceptional talent, but for whatever reason (and I can only speculate) she has been blessed with access to remarkable musicians. The incremental difference between Gloomy and Summertime is remarkable and clearly due to both her age maturity and excellent coaching.

Angelina was listening to Jazz in the womb. At 18 months she is recorded on key singing Whitney Houston. At two through three she is scrolling through KZbin for hours listening to Jazz artists. At three she tells her Mother she wants to sing for Simon Cowell. At five she asks if she can audition for NGT only to be told she is too young. At six she enters sound booth and records four songs. Thanks for the wonderful and amazed reaction, GreyWolf, her first public show with Gloomy Sunday was an event of amazement for anyone who experienced it at the time, the emotion that is felt for his first performances, in which he wonderfully connects the her voice and her talent for that aspect of her little bird that plays, is very large and intense and leaves you permanently marked. To think that at 7 years of age she was perfectly able to read, analyze and connect, in a foreign language, without any doubt or fear, with the public and the judges of talent seems impossible. She convinced her mother to join her because she was sure of herself ... at seven years old! The funniest part was at the very end of that performance and Angelina walked off of the stage the dark haired female judge stated to the other judges; did you hear that rasp in her voice? She must have been drinking whiskey since the day she was born! That's how impressed that judge was as well as so many other people. Great job reacting Jereal !!! I am a fanboy to Angelina, not just because of her superb vocals and other musical abilities but for her morals and character for keeping her promise to this day. She published and wrote a book at 9 years old explaining why she sings barefoot. So yes I am a fanboy and enjoying following Angelina's journey.

Knowing this to be her 1st big Audience/TV appearance, my favorite part is when she sings "Dearest the shadows, I live with numberless". She closes her eyes, (to wherever she goes, totally absorbed into the music), then maybe just to me, upon opening her eyes, she sees where she really is, completely mystified, surprised, yet still manages to stay in control, stay at ease, not hurry, then go right back into the music and rhythm, and that special place again, throughout the rest of the song.

Yes, she was only 7, but she did go on to win this competition. That might suggest she would not have gone out and sang in any sort of ordinary fashion. I don’t know what it is about her voice. Just about any song she sings makes me cry a good cry. Not many things in life does this to me . My heart is somehow in line with the tone of her voice. The sound of her voice is so soothing and hypnotic that my mind goes to places in my past. Some memories are sorrowful and painful and just by listening to her angelic voice some how makes everything better and replaces them with joy and happiness. The third judge said she was a star. The last judge asked her what she thought the song meant, and Angelina replied, "It was a sad Sunday," which was an appropriate reply for a 7-year old. I'm happy to see you go back to this one. This performance really drives home just how deep the music runs in her soul. At 7... the style, the professionalism... it's just incredible. A while back I put together a video of this performance mixed with the original from Billie. @@wippletits I think you may be right, and I was thinking the same thing. I have seen this format many times on american idol, but not AGT. The contestants all give a solo performance for the judges and then they call them back in one at a time on another day to let them know if they made it. That is probably what this is from.

This beauuiful child must have been singing while still in her mother's womb. I saw a home video of her at age 1 1/2 years old where she is singing in her crib! At age 3 she is singing and playing on her child's guitar! I'd say she's truly gifted. First time I heard her sing was "Crazy". I couldn't believe it wasn't Patsy Clone. Ever since I have been an avid fan..Angelina, thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us all.

Hi Jarrel (is that correct?) As you said, all our jaws dropped to the floor the first time we saw/listened to Angelina's audition! It IS terribly hard to compute. You have to turn on the subtitles to listen what the judges had to say who, by the way, were crying at the end of Angie's performance ;) Angelina is not a worldwide sensation yet because her family wanted to take things slowly, letting her to enjoy her childhood, study, etc. But Angelina's determination to sing and bring happiness and joy to the world cannot be stopped. She WILL become one of the great artists of her generation, no doubt about that. BTW, very interesting info about the BBC's ban to broadcast Billie Holiday's version!

Nervous? Her answer to that in the morning of that day at breakfast and in an interview after NGT: Nah (dismissive gesture). I have to grin everytime I see that sequence again. At age of 3 she saw Americas got Talent and decided, I will sing for Simon. She relentlessy trained and pestered her mom to allow her signing up for the show. She eventually signed her up for the national version of the AGT franchise, Norske Talenter. She later said only in the moment where we see her tearing up backstage did she realize her girl would be a real star. Before the show she discounted everything as the rosecolored natural mommy-proudness for their kids. The performance was in fact the last one of a very long day. So with their expectations securely fixed by hours of performances the judges heard THAT. One of the judges later said, after the first performance they still couldnt believe it. They thought she must be a perfect mimicker. Such a small girl cant' have any real sense of music. It just cant be real. But after experiencing the tiny girl telling the backup musician in no uncertain terms how she wanted it to sound in her reharsal for the second song all bets were off. In the end she won with a landslide victory not only the show but the hearts of a hole country.

Thank you for another grand reaction to Angelina. This was my introduction to her and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7 year old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. Others have told you of her determination to sing on Norway's Got Talent and I see you have already featured "Summertime" and "Gloomy Sunday". So, may I suggest that you keep, in the time age period and react to those listed below, in the order shown. Surprise!! At seven she was better than I'll ever be.... that's too wild! (bloody hell, she's wild) She's got the timing, and the nearly perfect pitch, but she has that 'soul' that belongs in the body of someone fifty years older than she is. What you see is nothing like what you get. I can't begin to find anything wrong with her performance. Sure it could have been better, but not from a seven year old. She'd have to be at least twenty, for it to be something you could critique... i'll always be grateful to her Grandmother, for introducing her to Blues, and creating this marvel of the age. I know her Grandmother and Grandfather were strong influences, but nothing could have imbued her with this talent, all they could do was to encourage her to become what she now is.... (listen to her song for her Grandfather, "you were always on my mind" and you'll see where I got my opinion)
