This video sa taken a week before Super Typhoon Odette hit Cebu. This was all about replacing the cheap 1000 watts grid tie inverter which died after 2 years.

Hello, i got similar inverter. My question is do you switch on the inverter all time? Even in the afternoon?.or you turn on when its sun is shining and turn off when the sun is minimal...tks in advance..

I think the air cooler not really help properly because you jush put it on the cover. Much better you remove the small fan on the side and changes with the big one. Small ac cooler also create moisture that maybe cause your inverter damages the circuit inside.

Thank you for you observations Sir. This is just an expiriment on cooling down this inverter. The air cooler would only run if it reaches 40 deg an turns off automatically when it reaches 38 deg.

Good afternoon Sir Phil, for my setup here is my computation. Ave KW harvest per day on a rainy season = 3.22 KW X 30 days = (96.6 kw) Generation Charge from Power provider (VECO) = 7.2478 / kwh 96.6 X 7.2478 = Php 700.13 Per month savings Approximate lang Sir for my setup. This is just my simple understanding of the computation. Thanks.

..I have a similar but 15 y warranty y&h white label 600w..I like this one it has no standby power..only issues is with it's banana terminal and fan jamming (needs bearing oil)...I just use 1 per 72 cell panel later daisy chain it's ac output ...I want to recommend a wifi smart plug monitoring via smartphone (tuya /smart life)...so you can monitor/timer on&off it remotely...

Maayung buntag Sir, yes Sir pwede ra nimo saksak deretso sa outlet basta ang imong wires gamit sa outlet is sakto ang guage sir. Depended sa imong setup sir kung dako kaayu ang ma produce gikan sa inver magkinahanglang ka ug limitter pero kung dili ra molapas sa imong consumption sa balay pwede ra wala Sir.

Usually damage parts are mostly the mosfets, mine I could not trace it since the mosfets are OK. In our area I couldn't find a repair technician for this type of inverter. One thing you can do is try to re-heat the board with a heat gun to help on some loose contacts.

These types of inverters Sir are somewhat low on harvest as tested. My inverter got burned out and will try a new inverter for this setup. vid comming our in the comming week. Tnx.

I believe it is best to space inverters off the wall to allow free air circulation behind the unit. The fan is a great idea but even so I would only use these cheap inverters at 50-75% of the rated power to help it last a bit longer. Heat equals death!!

my thought is this, even if you have to buy one every 2 years you still win, as I write this they are going for only $85 bucks on AMAZON, plus, please mount yours vertically not horizontally so that the hot air escapes upward and you will not have half the issues you are having

@@RollyPetz Use the death inverter cover only as a heatsink because the cover make out of aluminum so it can cool down new inverter better.

No you'll need to buy a new one every 3 months. 1000 watts with max input of 770. Burns up the mosfetts constantly

Good day Sir Joel. It's only a month since I've used the air cooler for cooling down this type of inverter since they really reach high temperatures even before I've used the cooler (55-60 degrees). I think due to high temperature of these inverters, it would likely damage some of the internal parts of the inverter. That is why I've experimented it with the arctic cooler with the use of the temperature sensor to trigger the the cooler at the exact temperature for the cooler to operate. I think the important thing here is that the triggering of the temperature sensor on when the cooler would activate. Anyway I was already expecting this type of inverter to fail after a year. On a cool day the cooler would not turn on since it is triggered by the temperature sensor w/c is set @ 40 degrees so no chance of blowing the cooler at low temperatures thus avoiding moisture. After replacing the new inverter and with the temperature sensor and the arctic air cooling, this has maintain the temperature of the chassis at about 40-42 degrees on a very hot day. I am hoping that with these new setup cooling this inverter to its desired operating temperature, this would last for a while with my fingers crossed..hehehe..hopefully I can follow-up o this setup hopefully for a year... You're cooling not the hottest part of the inverter. In this type of inverters mosfets are installed. You need cool them, not other parts, that doesn't get hot practically

Well that cooler could cause moisture that can condensate inside the components and cause the inverter to fail, but also its common for cheap chinese inverters to only work for about two years anyway.

Hi Sir, maybe the mosfet s blew up .It's maybe because it has exceeded its normal operating temperature. Have you tried opening the inverter and see what blew up?

@@RollyPetz Yea, there a little fuze t 6.3A which blew up. I replaced it but it did not help basically when i plug converter into socket it immediatelly initiate safety break switcher so probably its not only a fuse. I looks like that converter causing instant phase cross (short circuit)

@@searchingthethruth4776 Sir so far naay gamay moist but mo desipate lang siya since ang chassis sa inverter is >40 degC kung mo-andar ang cooling fan Sir...then the internal fan would run if temp rises to 43-45 degC. If the chassis fan return to less than 38 degC, then mo turn off automatically ang cooling fan.
