+1misanthropist The thing is. GRID 2 will be fun for those who only love "Racing" the physics improved a bit too. You see what i like the most about racing games, is "Drifting" and "Drifting" in GRID 2 was complete shit. Why did you think in less than a year they announced GRID Autosports which was created with the same engine and mechanics as GRID 2, and those who owned GRID 2 already gets GRID Autosports 50% off and on G2A.com u can buy a key for 4dollars? Because GRID Autosport is a Fixed Version of the GRID 2. The drifting in GRID 2 was just powersliding. Drifters want "Drift" hidding those corners in an angle WITHOUT LOSING SPEED which in GRID 2 whenever u hit an angle to try some "real drifting" you lose your speed. GRID 2 was a complete failure ONLY IN THE DRIFTING. Racing, physics and graphics were improvements. And ofcourse this is why i created this video because all you see in my video is drifting :)

To me Grid 1 felt more realistic and challenging, whereas in Grid 2, it was a bit easier but also very satisfying. What I loved in the second one is that you could pull off insane drift turns even in a regular circuit race and sometimes make some legendary, movie-like overtakes. But pulling off great drifts felt more rewarding in the first one.

The main problem with GRID 2 Drift is that cars have far more grip than in other race events which kills the purpose.

It is just insane how cool the drifting in Grid was. Especially when playing with a steering wheel, you had to plan your every move. Grid 2 is just NFS powerslides in official circuits...

I like the fact that when he was overtaking the ghost lap times the gamer-tags were always dirty like 'GangBanger69' and 'ICreamPieCunts31'. However, a great video and very informative although from the looks of things GRID did it right and GRID 2 balls it up big time!

That's some really, really sweet drifting. I love racing games and I'm really good at traditional racing, but I've never been able to master drifting. Whenever a drift event comes up I always go "ugh! This is gonna suck!" and then I just kind of scrape by with lots and lots of restarts. I was actually watching your throttle control and turn-in angle and trying to learn what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I'll be able to drift a little bit better the next time I start up GRID 2.

Pastechi Aside from the drifting, I'm really glad I bought GRID 2. I'm definitely going to finish the single player campaign. Before Autosport though, I think I will be buying Project Cars. I've been looking forward to that one for a long time.

Well Project cars has no mods and wont get any mods, if u want to drift in there u have to find a way to make your car atleast powerslide, If you are thinking of getting project cars for drifting....F that and get Assetto Corsa!

Pastechi I think you're misunderstanding what I want. Traditional racing is what I prefer first and foremost, and Project Cars looks just fine for that. If the drifting is fun, then that's just a bonus to me.

I know i kinda like racing and drifting...The only reason why i disliked GRID 2 is that they focused too much on the Phisical impact and graphic display but not that much in the car handlings. Cars like the R35 doesnt even feel like a real R35 when i was driving it in Grid 2 :s

GRID 2 was a disappointment. Every time you turned, your tyres were burning. Really? GRID 2 - The Drift Edition? Because that's what all cars did in that game weirdly. It looked nice and had many good features. But the first game has much better physics and... Everything. It is still nice visually (excluding the piss filter). Damage model was awesome too.

Well in my opinion GRID 2 they did a very awesome job in it the racing ir more more realistic the physx and graphic is very good the only thing that killed grid 2 is the drifting, if only i was smart enough to instead of modding engines and handling of GRID 1 i can bring the drift handling modded for GRID 2

This may sound weird, but in GRID2 it feels like all the power is comming from the center of the car, instead of from the rear wheels. I disliked everything about GRID2 but I especially hated the drifting. Only thing it had going for it was that it looks nice.

Well i saw today that they are announcing GRID Autosport coming out in June 24-27. They were aware of our feedbacks and is making the new GRID in the style everyone expected it to be, same as the first GRID. So June 24 i will be uploading a gameplay of it and we can all see if its worth playing or its just another ripoff

G2 is realy good. just that the drifting they didnt do very well...drifting in G2 are just powerslides, never in my life have i put a car a little sideways and i lose speed...never...ever...the drifting in G2 is like a stock fwd car trying to go sideways and losing speed...and why not realistic...i dont think they make driftcars without Clutch. we dont have clutch in this game...we need that clutch

ur ebrake works sorta as a clutch, as long as you have the gas down while ur using it. no gas=e brake

Dude even with stock BMW E34 you can do better drift than one in G2. They killed it.. They should left it as it was in Grid. There is so many sexy cars in G2 to drift with but you can't becouse physics are Fucked.

there is nothing REALISTIC about grid 2 drifting, a real drift car when set up correctly will drift like they do in grid 1, in grid 2 its they are drifting on super sticky tires with too much rear downforce, its causing the car to slow down and you cant chain or flick. grid 1 is a far superior drifting game than anything i have played. go in a real drift car and feel the power and how slippery it is.

Overall the gameplay looks more appealing and straightforward in 2 to me, to be honest. Drifting is all good and nice, but how can you call it even a racing game anymore when the cars are just constantly sliding over the street as if you were driving on ice. I've seen many racing games that became stale and unfun because the developers thought "It's all about dem drifting", removing any other option for taking turns effectively. That said, ideally a racing game supports both, drifting and high grip racing for taking turns, so everyone can drive how they want to. If Drifting really was a viable option in Grid 1 and then completely removed in 2, then I see why people are upset.

+Mayhzon Well as Josip said its a Drift mod i created that made all cars go sideways. This video is not to prove how bad the game is. This video is to show how bad the DRIFTING HANDLE is in GRID 2. I myself dont play much grid. I have a G27 steering wheel and i play assetto corsa. If you want the best real life virtual experience. U should try Project Cars for racing and Assetto Corsa for both racing and drifting. And ofcourse Assetto is much better because you can create mods, more tracks and much more

Pastechi from last year, august, i got it made, mobo died, got a new mobo, and 1 stick of ram also died (had 3 gb, now only 2, ddr2), i upgraded the gpu (geforce gt240) and the cpu is an athlon 64 x2 2,5 ghz, and this year upgraded to a 1440x900 (or 1400?) resolution monitor, which made the fps even worse, grid 1 was playable on lower resolutions, but it looked crappy without aa, so i had to decide between a higher res or aa and lower the settings, had huge fps drops if i played a race with the max number of players, and if somebody crashed it would drop to under 10 fps, but as i disabled blur, lowered the details and overclocked the gpu, there were less drops, but it was unreliable, it crashed a few times (only the game), and for next upgrades, firstly a new hdd (currently on ide hdd from 2006, which i used on a few pcs), then ram and a cpu, these are the cheapest parts, and im planning to get a gt750 for under 50€ (about 60$), and finally play some newer games, but ill already finish school and go to work till i do that, and ill need a car (and have a passion for cars, so theres that, carparts!) and im going to cook for a restaurant with a lot of daily customers from the beginning of april till the end of september, and probably work afternoon so ill have little time to play games, but ill play them occasionally

Grid 1 much better than Grid 2 , problem is that Grid 1 doesn't have trophies , if you want to make high score in drifting use manual gears , dont use the 4th gear , on 3rd gear u can balance the angel of drifting and make high scores .. :)

Well GRID 1 is still awesome because you can freestyle drift with your friends, in GRID 2 nomatter what gear you are in or how much power your car has you will still powerslide and lose speed

Could you drift on any track in GRID 1? I dont remember being able to do that. GRID 1 still has some of the best drifting in any game. I remember killing it in that game and when GRID 2 came out it was HORRIBLE, they got everything wrong.
