Considering that she is older than 80 at the time of recording, I would not call it Horrible per se. Her performance is original and unpretentious and therefore, it is a proper preservation of this Folk song as it was sung in Namaqualand; I know the song since childhood, but in the North we had sung a slightly different version. Having moved a lot, It is clear that many unique Afrikaans and English dialects are slowly disappearing, perhaps due to Media? Quite ironic that we need Media to preserve it!
