He was the first concert I went to alone 🥰 I used my crutches and stood in the front row for 2 hours watching the man who pulled me from so many depressive episodes rap his heart out, we had a few laughs as an audience, frankly when I threw up outside at the end of the show because my pain had shot through the roof by the end of it, I didn't even fucking care, I was in bliss. Hell, no one outside cared either, just thought I had one too many beers. It was possibly one of the best experiences I've ever had as a lone adult. Only regret is not trying to pull myself together for one last hoorah, even though I was at a 10 on the pain scale and could barely use my legs, and go to the back to smoke with the opening acts and potentially the man himself. But the concert itself was absolute magic for me. I watched him sing What it Dew and scream-sang every word, he started to sing Sunny Side of Hell (which was how I originally found him, in the midst of a very bad depressive episode) and I squealed so loud the first few minutes I'm fairly certain he was singing at me (not just a big headed fan thing, we locked eyes, it was a small venue, he saw who squealed and pin pointed me) all in all, if the world ever goes back to small venue shows, I'll be front row again.

Point 'em out I stepped into my future, blocked out that noise And I came back with a vengeance Like I'm Bruce Willis on 'roids Tell me now, who's got that smooth shit Sipping on some Laphroaig And I walked out of that smoke cloud With my game tight and on point I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah I'm feelin' real fine (and a little drunk) I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah I'm feelin' real fine (and a lot drunk) So if they ask about me Ooh, tell 'em what I does, tell 'em what I do Eeh, tell 'em where I is, tell 'em where I be I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do, fuck you Man boys, it is colder than a witch's titty Face-down in the snow in a brass bra, but this beat makes me feel like I'm tongue-fucking a margarita Yo, keeping my cool runnin' Everybody's always mad about somethin' Figured if that's the way that it is Then I ain't got time to worry about nothin' Tell 'em I'm back and try to relax You can go ahead and be honest, kid This shit here has to run it back home like -stop- (oh shit!) Sippin' on a little bit of Templeton (what's the big deal about Templeton?) Picture what it's like to get head on top of a pile of Benjamin's, it's like that (but better) Walked out of that mic booth, hopped onto that stage And I came back to go bat-shit on these jokers like I'm Bruce Wayne Tell 'em now who got that smooth shit jumpin' off of my page You talk like I've been listenin' but I'm too buzzed to be phased I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah I'm feelin' real fine (and a little drunk) I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah I'm feelin' real fine (and a lot drunk) So if they ask about me Ooh, tell 'em what I does, tell 'em what I do Eeh, tell 'em where I is, tell 'em where I be I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do, fuck you Ooh, tell 'em what I does, tell 'em what I do Eeh, tell 'em where I is, tell 'em where I be I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do I'm feelin' real good right now, yeah Tell 'em what I do, fuck you

I feel like each person was one of the seven deadly sins. He was pride, the devil chick was wrath, fat guy was gluttony, sexy chick was lust, guy at bar was sloth, the chick with the phone was covetousness, and the guy beside her was envy. I know its not but its fun to think into things sometimes hahah as long as you dont get crazy about it haha

I think you're right. I couldn't think of a point to the fat guy, but this makes sense.

I won’t ever tell a artist that I dislike the direction he’s taking because he has his own right to do his own thing but the together/apart album is what really made my heart sing. Love grieves either way.. I’m a heavy metal guy. Maybe I like him for the bluesy elements.
