It definitely helps but it's the ancillary equipment that has kept me out. $1200 for a compressor, $600 for a air bottle. Then a gun. Then glass. Sure adds up. After you are over the hump you can add guns though.

I use the Griffin Superlight dish base slugs .30 cal for my FX Wildcat MK3 compact non-bottle. It's the only ones I get consistent shots with no flyers out that airifle. Not to mention they are super hard-hitting with the polyballs inside. They put the smack on groundhogs at 150+ yards easily. The bottle version will shoot pretty much any slugs but in my non-bottle version, I can't get any other slugs shooting fast enough except for the Griffin superlight dish base .30 cal slugs. They are pricy with the polyballs but the Groundhogs appreciate the instant lights out.

I've used the Griffin 64 grain (they fit in the mag) in my G30 for half a year now. Very good accuracy and they load nice and easy! Griffin is the way to go with G30s

@@DYS_72 The ones I use are the cup base, not boat tail. I haven't tried the boat tails. However, the 64 grain fits in the magazine. I get about 120 FPE with these.

Got my griffin slugs today, like a kid I had to air up and shoot. Booooy they are accurate, 3 roughly in the same hole 50 yards out. No scope adjustment needed from my 44 grain pellets!! Super impressed!!

They work really well in a Bulldog too! The 125 LDC boat tails are a nice light load, the heavier are also at least as good as the Benjamin bullets, probably better terminal velocity with the boat tail.

I only use their slugs in my fx crown, and have for years. Really good stuff. I managed sub 1/2 moa with 36gr .218 boat tails @65fpe thru a mk1 700mm crown

Have you tried the Griffin Superlight slugs with the polyballs inside? They put the smackdown on prairie dogs and small hogs. I shoot them out of my FX Wildcat MK3 compact non-bottle version. They are super hard-hitting slugs. The impact sound when it hits the prairie dog is so loud cause of the polyball expansion.

23- 26 grain Griffin dish or cup have been a staple in all my .22's. Bens got some unbelievable slugs. I resize all my slugs, not just Griffins but any slugs to .216, it's been a total game changer for anyone using .22. Night and day, if you don't think thousandths matter, get a 20 dollar resizer 5.49mm and watch your groups become one hole. Slugs that your gun will shoot that is. I stick between 20.2 to 27.5 dish or cups. But that's me. I know this isn't about .22 but I've been shooting griffins for a couple years so I had to chime in.

What's with the attached tank, does this keep each shot at max.? You put G2 in the video you are using the G30, I want one I have the G2 .25 caliber, I am very pleased with it and want the G3, but I guess Pyramydair will not have any in stock until early October.

I got clarification from uramax regarding this very question turns out the only gountlet 30 showing up in their store is the same as g2 30. They should have made it more clear with their product naming

Crazy accurate!! Now that the sidelever is available, I'm wondering if it will deliver the same. I've seen a few bad reviews on the SL model. I almost pulled the trigger on the 25 cal,till I watched your video on the 30 and Griffin 78 gr slugs. Just on the fence about which action.

Maybe these Griffins will work in my .25 cal LCS. I’ve tried the .25 cal 25-26 grain Griffins in the Avenger and Bullboss and they worked well but this LCS has so much more power than either of the for mentioned PCPs I’ve tried them in. The G2 .30 is one of my favorite airguns at 100 ft lbs with pellets and 1/2 inch accuracy at 50 yds this gun can shoot 200 yds and is MOA . It is worth a serious look.

Will this rifle have the fps to reach a deer before it moves at 100 yards ? I can legally hunt with 30 cal here in NC for whitetail deer & I need a rifle to exterminate nuisance deer destroying crops and I don’t want to do a lot tracking and want to be able shoot a deer at 100 with head /neck shot ? I can shoot a deer silently with xbow at 60 + yds so I need pcp to take a deer out at 100 outside of a Zeus

My .30 cal AEA challenger BP is crazy accurate at 875fps with JSB or FX Diablo 50.15 gr. That is 95 ish ftlbs. With Javelin.301 slugs in 54 I get about 150ftlbs and the 64 grain Javelins making like 175-180. More than enough for wild pigs or coyotes to 150 yards. Also to answer the other guy’s question regarding hitting a 100 yard deer before it leaves. Uh with my Donny FL Sumo. He won’t even hear the shot that kills him guaranteed. That said my rifle has a regulator, three barrel bands and a slightly lighter than the stock heavy hammer spring. So yeah mine is modified. By the way for me personally it is the tinkering with power, reg, hammer spring strength and barrel bands that I enjoy. It was not at all accurate for the first few trips to the range but now that I have two different reliable tunes One for slugs at nearly 1000 fps and one for pellets at 875. It will shoot MOA at 50 meters which is crazy better than the first trip to the range where I was getting 4” groups with flyers at 50. So yeah Rick is right bone stock that is an impressively accurate rifle

Rick, how often do you get rifles like the rest of us that shoot like dog s##t.

I do get some that go back to the manufacture and we don’t review them. We let the manufacturer know what the problems are and they need to fix them before we can review them. And then there are times where people ask us about a gun that they purchased that I reviewed and they say mine was complete junk . Our process is we test them for about a week make sure there is no problems before the review and then we review them. We only get to spend so much time with a certain gun and then we have to move onto the next gun.
