What he’s failing to communicate is that he feels jealous that other people get to play the game and experience it before he can. He’s taken off work and delayed plans on purpose to play the game at launch, but since the game came out early he wasn’t able to play it on time. Other people getting to play it before he did makes him upset. I can actually sympathize with him to a degree. Back when I was anticipating the release of episodes for Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season, they came out around midnight and I couldn’t play them until the next morning. So knowing that other people were playing and experiencing the episodes before I did made me feel jealous and a little frustrated. But ultimately I understood that not everything should come out when it’s specifically convenient to me, so I didn’t make it a big issue. This guy is just for some reason unable to accept that Halo 3 came out and people got to play it and have fun before he did.

That jojo guy the fuck you talking about? They’re still adding in cut features from the original releases like full armor customization and ODST firefight. And that’s just console. Halo 3 has been the only pc release in MCC that has been mostly bug free. Even then the janky netcode is causing a lot of hit registration issues (which has admitted been there since 360 but the recent upgrades has exacerbated the problem). Also controller vs M+KB balancing is waaaaaaay off on pc as controller damn well almost plays for you with the level of aim assist and bullet magnetism (this applies to all the current mcc pc games not just 3). Shit is far from completely fixed even 6 years after launch. Don’t let 343 off the hook. Talk about a fucking brainlet.

The main positive of having a game shadow release early is trickle login. Release dates / times are literally DDOS attacks on their own servers. What likely would have happened as with every game launch is massive disconnects, login in ques, can't even login, servers crashing; ect. Which means hours of your time off is wasted; and sure on rare occasions the super early people in avoid issues with login servers, but the overall performance is terrible anyway so why even bother.

If they had dropped it maybe 1 or 2 weeks before they announced it, I could understand where he was coming from. But it's 12. Fucking. Hours. You don't have work tomorrow. You said it yourself, you took time off to play the game: just channel your inner 14 year old and play it through the night like you probably did when Halo 3 came out for the 360. My initial thoughts were "I must jump back onto Steam soon." It feels so fucking superior on PC. Is this what being part of the PC Master Race is like? Halo was made for PC, tovarishch. And there's that Infinite livestream happening this Thursday. Despite its past, Halo MCC is shaping up to be brilliant. I'm happy for Halo 3's launch for going so smoothly, it's bringing everyone back together.
