And what makes it worse is the humans blatant disregard for anyone or any animal, himself and his dog included!! I have a German Shepard and Im super pro active when we're out in public, my dogs not aggressive, but she is reactive, and her excitability is just that, she wants to love you and say hi and love you and say hi, but common sense tells you not every dog/owner is in the mood for her antics. As a basic human being with just the tiniest brain cells firing, I wouldn't expect anyone to accept her behavior either!! The owner needs an e collar for real.. lol!! Chico w/his collar or a harness n his owner w/a hands-free harness ie a leash w/a belt clip so it can be worn around the waist n still have enough leash for the dog to walk or even run!! Injuring other dogs, attacking another owner trying to stop his advances on their dog, rampage causes a owner to be injured as he clips them or tackles their dog n hits a person.

Whet a good boy!! He’s a good doggy he just a little rambunctious. But you do such a great job with dogs Augusto, I just found your channel and I am in love with you and your dog training. My parents used to breed Labrador retrievers when I was a child and I remember my father training the dogs using a choke chain back in the day, this was like in the 70s, and I thought it was mean because sometimes the dog would yelp and it would scare me. But my dad told me that a disobedient dog is a dangerous dog not only to other people but to himself. If he got out, or got off the leash, he could get hit by a car, or attacked by another dog. He said responsible dog owners have to train their dogs responsibly. And that was part of my job as a young child was walking the dogs up and down the sidewalk teaching them how to halt, sit, lay down, etc. It was exhausting work, L O L but it taught me how to respect animals and how to care for animals appropriately. I really love your channel and if my father was still living I know he would’ve adored you too. You’re a very special person Agusto! Very special person.
@DonnaBaker125 Жыл бұрын
I used choke chains and prong collars back in the 70s as well, as did many of the dog trainers working professionally today. The difference is that those of us who were open to newer and better techniques evolved our methodology and philosophy to embrace more humane ways of training that have been developed since the 1970s ... it's called crossover training. Yes, responsible dog owners need to train their dogs responsibly ... but today, that can be done without using punishment-based methods. Trainers like Augusto are stuck in the mindset of using old fashioned methods that may be quicker but are not necessary and can damage the dog's trust in humans.

You are a God Send , I have to admit when I first heard u using a prong color I was horrified . But on watching U, U r beyond Awesome, Barbara Woodhouse , I remember watching her as a child and realising it's the owners she is training , my next favourite was Ceazer, but , U win hands down , you have saved so many lives not just the dogs but the humooms and made scared dogs , not scared . You are gonna go far #Dog Daddy1. Massive Respect.

Love seeing the owners in the back interacting,playing fetch with their own dogs and owen, that's what dog owners need to do at dog parks not just stand there and do nothing

I am really enjoying your videos. One thing is for sure. When training dogs the owners have to know they also need to be trained. All your expertise goes down the drain if the dog owner learns little or nothing. As the owner you need to learn to reinforce the dogs training. Dog owners...pay attention.

Yes!! When I hear people say that they tried training and were told their dog is untrainable - what I think really happened is the can’t be trained because the owner doesn’t understand or has a screwed perspective on the problem and doesn’t understand dog.

Facts. It's just like raising kids 🤷🏾♀️. U gotta stay consistently stay on them and assert your dominance otherwise they become unruly and rebellious.

I meet so many dog owners like this at my local dog park. Have no control and believe it's ok because their dog just wants to play. and then wonder why the dog being harrassed fights back. And blames the other dog owner for being aggressive. I wonder what this dog owners would do if they were being harrassed by another in the same way?? there would be a fight. 95% of dog owners are morons

Mmmm....you make very good points, but I respectfully disagree with the word moron in this context. Most owners never learned the skills of reading their dogs' body language & behavior, let alone how to handle them... so they don't know what they don't know. But when an owner who actually knows what they're doing comes to a dog park, they'll either be yelled at or asked for their business card. 😎

I was sitting on porch with my chihuahua. A pit bull flew up in the yard and my chihuahua naturally was ready to fight. Cousins schnauzer quickly jumped between the two and shut it down. But yeah I don't want to imagine what could happen if Chico ran up on a lil dog in a park

Lots of dogs in the dog park that need training. This park is overwhelming and chaotic for owners and dogs. Aren't there rules for the dog park?

I have an 8 mo GS that acts like this Dane. Now I know which direction to take with her training. Probably going to have to train the other dog that shares the yard as well because she does the same thing and they feed of each others energy.

One of these days someone’s dog is going to put Chico in his place, rightfully so. And Chico’s owner will blame it on the other dog. This whole situation gave me anxiety, and reminded me of why we do NOT do dog parks. I already know I’ll end up having to knock a mf out.
