My dad told deere one time he could prove they wont stand behind ever piece of equipment they sell the deere man said i will stand behind any deere piece of equipment my dad went and got a deere manure spreader and filled it full and told the deere man to stand behind that piece of equipment that. Deere man looked at my dad and smiled and told him hell no my dad told the deere man they need to change there slogan then lol he got that deere man that day good

Next time it does that turn your picker on & manually put it back in through door 6 it should go back in accumulator so you can wrap it

Now incorporate the litter and put that nitrogen in the soil. That’s part of our waste management plan here in Minnesota. Some soil types are not allowed to fall apply nitrogen !

That automatic greasing system on the cotton picker is pretty neat. I bet it saves a lot of time manually greasing the picker. When you get the chicken litter, do you get it already composted? Great video I like how you explain things Matt.

When I was younger(I am 73 now).we had to clean out cow pens so that's how we did it.we had 100 milk cows.even we put it on hay fields in the winter

Excellent presentation Matthew. Feel my own gut wrench with every problem that occurs. Can see though that with the introduction of each new model of practically all of your equipment presents a new learning curve. Wishing you the best of luck on getting the winter wheat in the ground. Matt, probably moreso, keep that buggy clean. You know how corrosive manure and other fertilizers are to equipment. That said, I am so glad that you are utilizing manure as a fertilizer staple. I know you have before but it appears you are going to commit to it in spades.

You have said many times on here how the town does not like the smell. Welllll, I spent 29 months in Germany. They should be glad they are not there. Dairy farmers there do not put the cattle in a pasture. They keep them in a cement floor barn. Wash everything to a inground tank. Once it gets so high. They add water and stir. Then pump it out into tanks and spread that on the fields. Trust me, no need for markers. You will for sure know where you have spread and where you have not. Very dark where you did and light color where you have not spread. And you can smell that for three country miles. It is rough even being up wind of that. Then just wait until you have morning PT and have to run in that smell. I got out in 89 and can still smell it.

Smells just like food and money. 😊 When I was a kid, manure spreading was done in the spring. Chicken house litter went on the garden and cattle barn manure with hay and straw went over the tobacco patch cover crop. It was really important as fertilizer. You could smell all that stuff for miles.😮

7760’s gonna give you all kinds of problems every year unfortunately. It’s the first in the baler picker series so it has it’s fair share of hair burning issues

Does the gin supply the plastic for the bales like they did the tarps?

No. It’s all on the grower to purchase the wrap. That’s the biggest downside to the round module style

Matt just a question would it be possible to put a scale on the spreader similar to something like you have on the grain cart to help with knowing how much you are loading up. Just a thought I had

I really researched adding one but there were multiple problems. To do it right, the way the bed and frame is designed, would take 16 load cells so it would be really expensive. Plus with it being as long as it is with a trailer frame, all the twisting in our fields going over uneven terrain would cause the life of the load cells to be dramatically shortened.
