I was stationed in the Rheindland-Pfalz at Hahn from 88-90. My most fond memories were hitting the wine festivals along the Mosel. With a Schwenkbraten in one hand and a local wine in the other, it was absolutely the best time of my life.

Hahn and Ramstein here. I miss how every Friday afternoon our shops would pop a few cases of bitburger and go through a couple kilos of schwank steaks. This really brought back some great memories.

I was stationed at Baumholder 1980-1985. The Absolute best Speissbraten house was the Im Haag in Idar-Oberstein!

Unfortunately so many of the good restaurants in Idar-Oberstein have shut down over the years, but have been to some great ones there in the past
