It’s usually 1/2 way through the cook, so if you set it for 10 minutes, you’ll get a flip alert at 5 min. I believe it’s only on the grill setting.

Have you done a steak on the griddle plate? I cook thick steaks on the pellet grill and finish them on the Blackstone griddle. I am trying to get it on the Ninja grill and griddle. What i like with steaks is kind of cold aging. Use foodsaver to vacumm seal to open pours and let site in freezer for few months, bags protect from freezer burn while letting cold penetrate beef. I saw this in stores and what shocked me is just how small it is even toaster ovens are much more compact than older models
@CookingWithCJ3 жыл бұрын
That’s cool. Never tried that.
@kinglord54293 жыл бұрын
@@CookingWithCJ you home freezer can't equal professional one why vacumm sealing opens the pours so cold has easier penetrating. Meat will get that cold aging color which goes away when coming back to room temp, really makes a difference. At lest let sit month but more better

What is the secret to keeping the inside lid of this grill clean?
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
There isn’t one. It’s, like all the Ninja Grills are a pain to clean the inside of the life. I did a video on how to clean it though.
@thecrowing19892 жыл бұрын
I would add that the alternative to a grill with a built-in probe is not a thermo pen, but a thermometer with a probe on a wire. This does the same thing as the grill/probe does, it's just an external device.

So in bbq mode with the lid closed, are the fans going? I'm curious how much seasoning is getting sucked off the meat.
@CookingWithCJ3 жыл бұрын
Yes the fan is on. I don’t worry about the seasoning getting sucked up. I season the meat, and let it sit for a few and sweat the rub on the meat.
@Silverbeardedsurfer3 жыл бұрын
@@CookingWithCJ That's fine though. You can still opt to cook with the lid up. The design of the air fry basket looks ropey on this model imo. Probably just as well; I already do too many chips on the smaller model.

CJ in ur opinion is the temp probe worth the extra $$$? AWESOME Video- you have my mouth watering BBB has the one without the probe on sale for $319.00 plus you get 20% off that.They don’t carry the one with the probe so it quite a large difference in price so just checking if you feel it is worth it probably around $80 difference with the one currently on sale at BBB with extra discount

Hola CJ, so I have the Ninja grill, it also has the grill to sear meats or fish, so in honesty and I know you will, why would I want this Ninja Pro 7 in 1 is there much more options in the pro versus the Ninja grill? Which I love so much. So nonstick, so easy to clean, just saying, except I have not tackle the filter yet. Will simple green be a good option for cleaning it? You say oven cleaner why won't you say which one? Power wash? Really, it takes power wash to clean the filter? God I hope not, hahahahaha.
@CookingWithCJ2 жыл бұрын
Ok, I like the 7 in 1 for the bottom and top heating. You can cook with the lid open. I love the griddle plate too. I think it’s their best model yet. Cleaning the heat screen, I use easy off oven cleaner. Power wash for the rest of the cleaning. Or you can use Bar Keepers Friend for cleaning. No one “needs” a new grill, but it definitely can be a “want”.

So I know this Video is from Sept but my husband made 2 steaks last night just sirloins but they were kind of thick. Forgot to take them out to thaw but he had some tray he used and they thawed quickly. He does have his own set of probes with an app on his phone and the steaks came out great. I like having the smart model which is what we had and returned on the 6 in 1 but the difference in price was alot since we only paid $179 plus got $30 in Kohl's cash.
