I forget to mention why you need to have a “cool zone” on your grill. When grilling burgers, you often have flare ups, and having a cool zone to move those burgers to until you can get those flames under control is a great plan.

Hey Coleman, nice video man. Any advise of how to make this burgers on the weber kettle?
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman2 жыл бұрын
Thank you my friend. I would definitely grill them over direct high heat. Follow the same steps in this video but bank the hot coals to one side of the kettle and grill the burgers on that side. When they get close to being done, move them over to the other side of the grill to finish cooking.
@teekev1253 жыл бұрын
Nice video!! I found some tips I am going to try the next time I grill burgers. That said I am grilling chicken this weekend. I got the chicken marinating and will be ready to go tomorrow. I do have 1 question about your process. You said to set up the grill with 2 zones. I saw you used the hot zone for both the burgers and buns. I never saw how you used the cool zone. What is the cool zone for? After seeing your Buffalo video I am going to try my hand at making pizza logs soon. If you are looking for another BBQ travel destination you should consider going to Big Bob Gibson's Bar-B-Q in Decatur, AL the place where Alabama White Sauce originated. Thanks
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman3 жыл бұрын
Great minds think alike. I marinated and grilled some chicken thighs yesterday for some tacos myself. You are correct, I forgot to mention why I use 2 zone cooking for Burgers. I always keep a cool side just in case I have flare ups. It seems to always happen with burgers, so when it does, I have a place to move the patties until I can get the flames under control. I will definitely have to go to Big Bob Gibsons! I love the AL white sauce. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel my friend.
@coreym36753 жыл бұрын
Bravo Coleman! Another excellent video! I liked the tip of applying salt and pepper to the parchment paper first to season the bottom of the patties. I’ll have to try that one. Also, bravo on the taste test! I agree, the tasting is a must! It was cool to see the gas grill take a turn this time, too. lol. I noticed yours has those ceramic briquettes. I ordered some for my Weber Spirit 2 E-310. Can’t wait to try them out. Great job, grill guru! 😎

Why did you put a “ dimple “ in the patty?

Great video. I have a weber charcoal grill. So 3 min on direct heat and then flip, then another 3 min on direct heat and then move to cool zone for 1 minute with cheese and then take off, right? How hot do I preheat my weber before putting on the burgers?
@dougdozier8782 Жыл бұрын
Also on my Weber when do I close my lid in the process?
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yes, that is correct. On the lid, I tend to only close the lid to melt the cheese. The only time I vary from this is if I have high fat meat and I have a lot of flames.
@charlesblake39456 ай бұрын
What temperature are you grilling the burgers at?
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman6 ай бұрын
Great question. On a gas grill, I would put the burners between medium and high. On a Charcoal grill, just create 2-zone grilling with all the coals on one side, and grill them over those coals. The temp for burgers does not matter as the burgers don't stay on very long. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@jenifermcneill14112 жыл бұрын
On my kettle should the lid be on or off?
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman2 жыл бұрын
I leave mine on. It keeps the flames from building from dripping grease from the burgers. Just leave the top and bottom vents all the way open. Thank you for watching.
