I remember planning on ordering it for my birthday present, looked forward to it for weeks. Everyone came to my house to watch it and stay the night. Went to order it and and it denied us. It wouldn’t let you order PPV with a balance and we always stayed a month behind. Heart broke. Tales of growing up lower class, not poor though Atleast we had cable.

There have been 4 world title triple threat matches at Wrestlemania. Benoit/Triple H/HBK was outstanding, Orton/Cena/HHH is very underrated, Orton/Bryan/Batista was also excellent, and Rousey/Flair/Lynch was groundbreaking and also a very good match. Ordinarily these types of matches can definitely be messy but these 4 are all memorable.

@@daleharris3809 Well I wouldn't say that all were memorable. Mania 30 was great but Mania 20 was clearly better and more memorable if you watched it then. Mania 24 was as you say underrated but not that memorable. Mania 35 was ok not a classic in my eyes.

The stadium shows for mania allows fans who can't afford premium seats like going to a boxing or ufc ppv in a basketball arena for 1k a seat at a minimum to save and travel to the event without breaking the bank.

Obviously the monday night wars/ attitude era was the best but things went up and down till WM 20. After WM 20, they just nosedived. The difference in quality between WM 20 and the following backlash was probably the biggest I’ve ever seen between two PPVs.
@shivankurchahar7368
@shivankurchahar7368 Жыл бұрын
It's because the Backlash following WM 20 was the first Backlash which was brand exclusive(exclusive only to RAW). It didnt feature Smackdown talent and this is from a period when Smackdown was actually the A show, was beating RAW in ratings, liked more by the fans and had lot more interesting stuff to offer compared to RAW which only had HHH's reign of terror and evolution. So absence of 50℅ roster was one of the key reasons what may have made Backlash 04 underwhelming compared to WM 20.

I know JR doesn’t like multi man matches but he’s wrong about that crusierweight match there was a story! Not everything has to be a singles match though lol! Rey was just screwed by Chavo at No Way Out which was the last PPV before mania! Which is why he was the last man in the match with Chavo and got screwed again! Which they didn’t even acknowledge! But instead of doing actual research for it all Conrad leans waaaay to much on the dirt sheet boys!

That was insane when hhh tapped out to the air and then the world title floated off and then eddie came and hugged the air! Jokes aside, Good times one of the best manias! Benoit hbk hhh the best triple threat besides wm30 triple threat and rr 15 rollins cena lesnar triple threat

@@markeric3364 your just saying that because of nostalgia. You should defs go watch the other 2 again and compare. But those 3 are the top imo cena lesnar rollins is the best triple threat of all time. Wm 30 and 20 main events tied for me match wise. Also hhh hardy and edge from armeggadon 08 is another rare 5 star triple threat.

No I'm not saying that because of Nostalgia. I'm saying that because 1. I was invested in the Benoit storyline than I was in Daniel Bryan's. Royal rumble 2015 was sort of thrown in together. 2. Mania 20 had far superior wrestlers. I mean HBK was in the match. 3. And Mania 20 didn't have as much playing around as Mania 30. If Royal rumble 2015 had a better build them it would have been the best. My order. 1. Mania 20. 2. Royal Rumble 2015. 3. Mania 30. 4. Backlash 2004. 5. Vengeance 2002.

@@markeric3364 no one talked about being invested in the story. The conversian is about which match was better. Did u see the electricity of the crowd and energy and moves in that match im talkin about? Pure wrestling standpoint. Doesnt matter if it was thrown together. Storyline wise you would be correct but match wise not even close. From start to finish rollins cena lesnar there was not a single part that dragged. The other 2 matches we talked about were a bit slow and took time to build.

@@wild1won44 What is professional wrestling without a storyline? I never look at a match simply based on what happens in the ring. So if you watched Mania 20 without any storyline you wouldn't like it as much as you do Rumble 2015. So there is our difference. I can't judge a match without its storyline because that is what makes me care. My favourite matches , Bret vs Austin, Shawn vs Taker, Shawn vs Angle etc all classics in the ring but with amazing storylines.

Steroid talk can be so damn annoying sometimes though! These people are paid to be in Peak physical condition! 24/7 they’re not going to a damn desk job from 9-5 and then spending 30 mins in the gym! Not to mention nutrition today is Sooooooooo much better than it was when you were a kid Conrad! Do some people use them yeah I’m sure they do but it’s far from the rule today! Honestly what tf do they need them for when there’s sooo much other stuff out there and so much information about it!

roids properly used are actually for quicker healing and repair. Something like wrestling that is scripted I 100% support its responsible use. It'll save careers, health, and potentially lives. people blamed roids for the downfall and tragedies of 80s and 90s wrestlers but it was the CTE the drugs and the over the top partying lifestyle that lead to most of that

I’d rather JR keep his medical advice to himself. Especially after Covid where he would rant about what everyone should do weekly. For anyone who is a non-medical professional…”Seek advice from a medical professional concerning issue X” is the thing to say. There are too many Google Medical Experts. Leave the medical advice to medical professionals who went to school for years and earned a medical license to distribute such care and advice.
