As a 9 year old kid I loved this event when it happened. It was cheesy, but it was the 1980’s...everything in that decade was over the top and cheesy! I remember it got rave reviews at the time and it was a smash hit in the VHS rental stores as every copy of that event were reserved and sold out for months once it was released!

watched wrestlewar 91 last night....when sid botched the powerbomb in the cage. seems the only thing that saved it from being catastrophic was pillman's athleticism and intelligence to really tuck his neck otherwise he may have been spiked

It was oddly booked. 5/8 matches were tag matches please. That reeks of Wrestlemania booking when everybody gets thrown in multi person matches just to get a paycheck. Otherwise, i thought wrestling wise, it was a great show. It was odd how this was being billed as a movie with how the commercials were done.

I thought the main event was terrible with the talent they had it was so bad. Like Conrad said it starts off as a normal tag they do mention it's an electrical cage but what he fails to mention is how fucking bad Bruno was as the referee. They changed it to a tornado tag on the fly because Bruno wasn't doing his job not counting anyone when they were meant to be outside on the apron. I even think Funk spoke to him about doing something because at points everyone was inside the ring and bruno was just watching. He honestly had no fucking clue what was going on. At one point he tries to get funk out of the ring because he's not the legal man and funk is obviously playing heel trying to stay in and get kicks in etc and pushes bruno back. Bruno for some strange reason practically oversteps muta and Sting I think even bumped into Muta and just tells flair please come in and flair just jumps on Funk and gets him outside the ring. Honestly it just looked so fucking bad to the point burno looked weak and useless

It was for the best, the company we hired was able to close on time and saved us so much money we had 5 grand back on the sale.
