I like it! Nothing like the sound of the Toccata and Fugue on that beast. I have a copy of the original 1950s recording on vinyl.

Made my day. One of my favorite organs, and two of my favorite pieces for organ!

I didn't realize how much larger this organ was than the popularized wanamaker organ. So cool. I did a lot of research after watching this

@@somethingstrangeastrid this organ has always had more pipes than the Wanamaker organ.

@@MattGerhard I did a great deal of research right after posting this comment. Learned a lot about its construction and restoration, so insanely cool. I'm learning to play organ now!

@@somethingstrangeastrid Best of luck!! After so many years of dreaming to play such an incredible instrument, I finally started my own journey earlier this year. The organ is such a beautiful beast.

Wow! Was it difficult to adjust to the delay? How long is it from pressing the keys to hearing sound at the console?
@MattGerhard2 ай бұрын
@@TheAmpico there wasn’t much delay if you used stops that were located in the chamber above the console.

@@MattGerhard That makes sense. Thanks for uploading this!

Organists have said you have to play for the right chamber as it's right above you and almost ignore the left two chambers as they're about a second or so behind due to the distance from the console. Oh, plus the sound coming off the back wall is about 2 seconds delay/echo too.
