Excellent, tutorial yet again! Yet it's also a law of the battlegrounds world that the guy with the most kills in those scenarios is never on the winning team. Not saying you're one of THOSE guys, though, as you did pass up many an easy kill opportunity to stay focused on the flags. In general though the killers do not help in these variations on capture the flag. The telling fact here was that you were alone....a LOT in this battle.

I'm wondering if you would change anything for Elsweyr? Like trying to make up for some of the penetration loss on Surprise Attack. Good setup, though. I've been using the same for awhile, very rarely die. Kind of hard to actually kill people though. I feel like that's just console lag screwing the burst up a lot of the time, though.

When shuffle gets nerfed what will you replace it with? Fear? Siphoning strikes?

Carl Andrews the change to major evasion is actually a buff to my playstyle, so I'll still be using it. Plus you always need a way to break snares, so if you dropped shuffle you'd have to change rally to forward momentum, which is good for sustain (since FM costs less than shuffle) but it's terrible for healing.

max mustermann Selene is more pressure, because it can proc more frequently and actually targets an enemy instead of shooting out whichever way you are facing. Even if they dodge it, I've forced them to passively waste 3000+ stam to dodge something I didn't even have to cast. Veli is dodgeable too, but most can simply sidestep it. I don't like when Veli procs from my bow because it lowers my burst when I jump in. I also tend to like physical damage more than disease, since bosmer and argonians both have extra disease resist (and everyone is a darn argonian). But pick your poison- they are both good sets!

max mustermann don't worry! Even if you did want to argue, it's good for the soul- and I like having a reason for everything :) I'm never offended! Sorry if I sounded that way haha. As for pariah- it is a very strong mitigation set. However, it shines best in a defense oriented build, and not as much as a defensive aspect of a well rounded build. Firstly, it benefits from high health, and I wouldn't want to give up too much stam or magicka to stack health. It is also a fully committed defensive set, meaning that unlike impreg, it can't provide alternative benefits (max stats, recovery, damage, crit, etc). If you were to wear impreg for example, you could go all well fitted, save a TON of stam, get solid max stats, and still have much more mitigation than you would on Bone Pirate for instance. I like to focus on getting the mitigation I want without having too much more than I need, because I want to stack all damage :) that's why I don't like pariah. It's an amazing mitigation tool, but that's about it. It doesn't support a "well rounded" build as much as other options do.

Nice vid, but i was looking for some good sets combinaison for a stamplar. I play it 5 medium and 2 heavy (5 bone's pirate and 5 fortified brass). The damage is still good but i'd like to, maybe, replace fortified brass by a damage set (automaton) but i'm affraid to be too squishy...

Gnou Féroce as a stamplar, I would likely run ravager as the damage set, then 5 medium impreg on the body. You'll be super defensive, have excellent cost reduction with well fitted, and do more damage than you would with fortified brass/ bone Pirate. Ravager/Impreg is a great middle ground between all damage, and all defense. If you feel you need more damage, you could go bone Pirate/ ravager, and transmute one or two jewelry glyphs to protective, which is really efficient. Hope this helps! Gnou Féroce if you wear all well fitted on impreg, you'll still have more crit resist then a mostly impen setup, and you'll have a tooooon of sustain through cost reduction. 35% cost reduction is like 300-600 recovery depending on how often you dodge roll, etc.

I see, but I have just one more question : I want to go DW as dps bar for rending slashes, I already have one axe (bleed dot) on left hand but I hesitate now between a sword or a dagger, what do you recommend ?

Gnou Féroce if you want to go duel wield, I would go two axes. Doubling the proc chance on bleed has a big impact on your uptime. If you really don't want to go two axes, use one sword- the extra damage feels like it makes a bigger difference than the extra crit in PvP.

I play from Asia with a 300 ping, and when I pvp I mostly do bg, right now i am running basically the same build as you, but the lag is really not helping me, bar switching is always an issue, and i can’t imagine how many times my ult won’t go off simply cuz they walked out of range. Do you think a sniper build is viable in bg? Hawks eye + marksmen maybe?

Tim Burger absolutely! Here is an example of a very effective bow build. This one uses bow/bow (asylum and master), but it can be really effective with bow/2h (asylum). The most damage is going to be Spriggan's and hulking, but Hawkeye/marksman is going to be much better sustain. Av R eternal hunt is an excellent recovery set, and procs hit disproportionately hard in non-cp, so eternal hint performs particularly well. You'll be a little low on max stats, but since that influences damage less in non cp, you probably won't notice a significant difference in base damage.

Heimpai I actually use a Razer Deathadder (ive got larger hands, and it's a nice big mouse). I use the two buttons on the side to roll dodge and weapon swap, and because my hands are larger, I can reach the 1-5 buttons with relative ease. Hope this helps!

Cristian N I think it looks like an extremely powerful set for stamblade- especially if you are using a siphoning ability to help build ultimate. The idea is to get the biggest assassins scourge possible. So you get a damage boost based on ult consumed, not on the cost of the ult. So you build your ult to at least 250, use the knockdown CC with incap, then get a fat assassins scourge with a damage buff and a buff from incap.

Jordan Brown hey dude! Once again it’s all about sustaining. To that end, I think a few option to look at are going to be shackle/(damage set). (A damage set could vary depending on your preference. I think the best options are Spriggan’s, 7th Legion, and Hundings). If you feel like you’re oversustsinijg your magicka, then you can drop shackle, and pick up bone pirate with at least 3 tri-glyphs to get a better stat pool :)

manuel wegeling I'll be keeping one swift on my open world build (but likely not more than that). The best traits are still going to be protective, infused, swift, triune, and then Robust. Which one you choose should be dependent on your needs. I may try running two protective and one swift, then trading out troll king for Selene. I'll have to test it all out before I can say for certain.

manuel wegeling speed pots are also getting a nerf from my understanding, and I use a bow so they are generally redundant anyways. Either way, in my opinion it's better to have a small speed buff and major savagery than have to sacrifice for speed pots- that's totally opinion though and everyone feels differently :)

matt worley it depends on how your sustain feels. If you are using siphoning, you may be able to get away with using Ophidian Venom, which is crazy strong in non cp. if you're having sustain problems, you could simply add one recovery jewelry. It will come down to playstyle and preference, which is why I would still choose Venom.

Your videos always help a lot. :) One question: How much mileage do you get out of Troll King? During that match, you very rarely fell below 50% health. Now, it would probably proc a lot more often for me :D, but still, it seems like a rather rare benefit. Or am I missing something?

varana312 great question! It's really relative to who you're fighting. I try to always keep my health topped off by healing proactively, but if I was to face a good MagDK or Magplar, doing so would have been much more difficult. Troll King is basically the ace up my sleeve- if I get pressured, it's got my back. I definitely feel it when I don't have it, and when I do die when not using it, I always wonder if I could have won the fight if I had only been using it. That being said, it's simply a preference. I suggest trying out a few monster helms, and see what works for you best!

are u sure 1k stam from selene is equal to 100 wep damage?

C Stone roughly yes. You'll get a little more damage from one line of weapon damage then you would from one line of stam, but it's very slight. The biggest difference is that you can use your stamina to cast abilities, roll dodge, etc, and the weapon damage scales better because of major brutality and continuous attack. But you can imagine a line of stamina increasing your damage output by about 100 weapon damage. The exact conversion is out there somewhere in the forums.

Rich I use it because you have more execute pressure. By that I mean you can execute from 30% health. It's just more forgiving. Killers Blade is awesome too, and lately I've been liking it more because of how smoothly it cancels. But both are solid :)

Spice Splice good question! You can use any bow that you feel supplements your needs. Need more magicka recovery? Use a willows path bow! For more damage and healing use an agility bow. Same applies for physical resist, healing, etc.

koopah troop agility bow backbar is going to be stronger for your healing, but weaker for your damage against players. Since I use the bar as a buffing tool primarily, I would personally take the agility to maximize healing. However, double barring Spriggan's is not a bad option at all, as it will improve your healing some, and your poison injection a lot.

Hey grim, I’m having probs keeping up with people. I feel like I’ll ambush in get one hit on them then I’m chasing hard. Im having a hard time keeping my roll dodge speed buff up. I’m sure it’s situational. But do you mainly weapon swap>shuffle/vigor(animation cancel roll dodge)>weave light poison inj(animation cancel weapon swap) or what’s the best route for keeping up pressure while reapplying that speed buff.

koopah troop great question. Firstly, I like to try and bait enemies to gap close to me. I like to be the one that is hard to catch. I roll dodge cancel almost every defensive backbar skill (shuffle and vigor primarily).
